Hope the chemo went OK TTB
I think a rescue cat is a good idea
Mine steals my wool and removes the crochet hook so it's more comfortable to lay on and today on a conference call with 10 people from all over the global he grab my hand and bit me because I tried to retrieve my mouse from under him.................

I once had a cat just like him. My bother found him wandering around a golf course. He was such a character. Even though it’s been many years since he left us I still miss him.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.6

Love the photo, mine either jumps on my lap and starts purring loudly or settles down on my laptop keyboard when I'm on conference calls, much to the amusement of whoever I'm talking to.
Got soaked to the skin yesterday, went shopping without a coat or mac. Walked out of the supermarket with bags packed in trolley and it absolutely poured and a thunderstorm started. Only a short distance to the car, by the time I got home the sun was shining. Didn't have a treat yesterday, thought it would make more sense to wait until desperation sets in rather than 'because it's Friday'. Knowing what I'm like at Bank Holiday weekends it could be in the next couple of days. Quiet weekend with the cat planned.6 -
Thank you all so much for the encouragement. Lots of fruit and fridge in the freezer and enough meat and chicken from our local butcher to last us for the rest of the month.
Today's meals (sorry. I know it's boring for everyone else but it's keeping me on track)
Breakfast - Melon. strawberries and blueberries
Lunch - Tuna, spring onion and sweetcorn salad with salady things
Dinner - Beef olives simmering in the slow cooker with vegetables and beef stock
I did have a bit of exercise today in walking to the shops. Just under three miles. There was a time (not so very long ago) when I could have easily walked seven or eight miles without thinking about it and have done it every day, Lack of exercise has paid a part in this weight gain so obviously I really have to try harder.

So nice to hear about your cats! I'm visiting a potential 5 year old with her foster mum on Wednesday. I'm excited!
That was chemo 3 so halfway (thankfully)
Back to business... I've already had some scrambled eggs and some watermelon this afternoon. Will have salmon with broccoli and a little potato later, followed by stewed apple and live yogurt.
Toni'sfriend I post my boring meals to keep me on track too. I find it really helps. I have a blip now and again, but nowhere near what I would without the accountability.
Hope you're all having a good day. 🌼🌸A bit of grin and bear it, a bit of come and share it
You're welcome we can spare it, yellow socks6 -
tighteningthebelt - Oh your dinner sounds lovely. That is one of my favourite meals but getting salmon is a bit difficult at the moment. And Himself makes the best scrambled egg but it is so full of calories - lots of butter. But I'm looking forward to a little bit for a treat when I go on holiday.
I would really love to have a cat but when we lost our last one Himself and the Boy just couldn't face it because they were so upset. We were going on holiday a lot at that time as well so it probably wasn't practical but I so love cats.
I hope your chemo goes well. xxxHave adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.6 -
Hi there.
Just showing my face to report a STS. I think I may have relaxed a bit too much after hitting my target last week. Never mind. Worse things happen at sea, as my grandmother would have said.
I'm a cat person without a cat too. I've had cats all my life, but when I reached 80 I decided that I couldn't bear for any pets to outlive me, it would be too stressful for them. My last surviving pet was actually a huge soppy dog inherited from my daughter in law, and when she had to be PTS I broke my heart and decided that she would be the last one. I've been over a year without a pet now and still think I made the right decision.I believe that friends are quiet angels

Hello, is this the right time to join the challenge?
my weight was creeping up post menopause and Lockdown then visiting family saw it rocket by a stone to make me weigh in at as heavy as i have ever been including during pregnancy.
ive crossed another border to be just into the twelve stones and my heart is crushed knowing i did this to myself.
ive got more three month old grandson and two more arriving by Christmas, i going to try and use this as motivation. Chocolate, crisps and the Odd g and t are my Weaknesses calorie wise.
ive also been known to eat the whole packet of biscuits to destroy the evidence, so i dont think i have a very healthy relationship with food.im almost sixty and would like to lose a stone by my birthday in November.Dinner is three beetroot falafel with a small baked potato and mange touts.I dont like fish or eggs which Makes things extra tricky.Norn Iron Club member 4736 -
Hi Artytarty and welcome 👋 we take newcomers any time 🙂 this challenge will run until the end of September and we will then start a new one for the 4th quarter. Let me know if you want to set yourself a small target for this challenge 🙂
TTB we will want photos if the cat is suitable 🐾 mine was 5 when I got him from cat protection a couple of years ago and has come with baggage bless him and a deep mistrust of men especially big men but adores my skinny nephew who's his cat sitter 🙄
I'll be away for just over a week, leaving early tomorrow with no real internet connection other than my phone so you're on your own so behave 😁 I'll catch up when I get back from DorsetLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin6 -
