Managed to catch the last of the sunshine when we arrived, turning blustery and grey now. I'm not quite sure how to respond to everyones' posts without making notes - I will endeavour to do that tomorrow when I have a bit more time.
Mealwise I had another swop today. DS really wanted a Mcds as he's not had one since lockdown and as we're so close to the High Street I let him wander up to get his fix for his dinner. Instead of the smoked tofu stir fry (left half the ingredients at DDs) I had the soup I was going to have yesterday, a great Hairy Biker go to for me, Red lentil and Harissa soup, only to discover it was actually butternut squash, carrot and ginger with a good few cloves of garlic (equally nom nom nom) added in a some spinach and a piece of seeded bread toast - delish.
Nibbles were not so good, but could have been worse - morning was ok - a few bites of melon, pineapple, pomegranate that Id cut up the other day and a chocolate lime boiled sweet that DGD had got her paws on (eating it through the wrapper!) Ooh nearly forgot the small piece of halloumi and cherry tomatoes. I don't often eat meat or dairy but was feeling the need for some protein over a carby apple This afternoon was worse at work as there are goodies everywhere - two small biscotti biscuits, an alpen light Jaffa bar, 2 boiled sweets then a rather large handful of low sugar cheerios that I scooped out the box as when I was waiting for DS to get ready.
On a positive I did burn 750 exercise calories first thing this morning, although its good to get it out the way I do find it makes me feel hungry from the get go and I keep justifying to myself that Im ok to eat xy and z because I've done my exercise. I am clearly a novice with this dieting malarky - hoping to improve a little each day.

@ditty1234 - if you're craving crisps then it may be a salt issue. It's a fairly common problem when people up their water intake.
@Brambling - I've worked from home for years on a rural internet connection, so download everything (time to make a cup of coffee/hang the washing out) work offline and then upload out of hours. My colleagues know this is the system... new colleagues are learning. When I tell them my upload speed is 0.7Mbps they realise why...
I'm going to have to take my own advice to @tighteningthebelt - not due to chemo, but I spoke to my GP on Wednesday and now have a diagnosis of post-Covid fatigue. So I need to think of maximising nutrition and having things prepped for when I don't feel like cooking. And stuff I like for when I don't feel like eating. Plus stock up on soup as my dental bone graft is back on for September...12 -

Hi everyone. Sorry not been posting much, spend most of my life atm either on the phone to BT or waiting for them to ring me. Which of course they don't.
Tomorrow is WI day and also my hair appointment day. It is first thing in the morning so will catch up with you all later on. Hopefully looking a little less like Worzel Gummidge.
Carry on losing. xI believe that friends are quiet angels

Meal Plan:
B - porridge and bits
S - fruit salad
L - sushi or sarnie
S - orange/apple
D -smoked tofu stir fry

Morning everybody Weighing in at -2 lb. So over 2 weeks I put on lb on and lost two. I guess thats pretty much how it goes. I do love my spreadsheet. Its in the same document as my finance. Keeping my budget in both areas. And have now lost a third of the total weight I want to loose. Can't believe it is actually happening.
Yesterday I had about 15 pringles for mu chips craving, it might be the same w the peanutbutter as both are quite salty Will have a think about that @greenbee.
And now I'm off for a nice longish run.
Keep it up were in it for the long haul.Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%

Morning all!
Greenbee post covid fatigue sounds nasty. I do hope it is short lived.
ditty1234 ⅓ is a significant milestone! Congrats.
After much research I've decided to do the fasting around the chemo days. Trouble is I've never fasted before (I've done time restricted eating and one meal a day though). I've decided to do a couple of trial runs to build myself up to it so I'm only having water today (36 hrs), and next week I'll do 2 water days (60 hours). Then I should know where my pinch points are before the actual chemo fasts which should start the week after. This isn't a weight loss strategy for me, but if weight loss were a side effect I wouldn't be crying about it!
B L D hot water with lemon slice × 8
Hope you all have a good day 🌷A bit of grin and bear it, a bit of come and share it
You're welcome we can spare it, yellow socks10 -
Hope your fast does well @tighteningthebelt Im sure you have researched the benefits - you sound very knowledgeable x I could fast but only with copious cups of tea - which defeats the object!
Well I have gone from bad to worse with half a choc chip cookie heated up - yummy though. Think I will WI on Friday to give myself a chance this week still a STS would be good!
Going to attempt the room of doom so I can sort out my exercise bike!
That should help - if I do it - not keen !!!!
Have a good day xI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.11 -
