Old Style Weight Loss 2020 - Part 3

Puppy day today - we are so excited!!!
Im hoping that my wobbling round after her will help the weight loss and take my mind off food - which is a constant preoccupation atm.
Im no weighing in today as don't think the scales will show a loss and I don't want to discourage myself. I have a plan or some strategies to cope with my late afternoon binge - `developed from my eating diary. Ive found it very useful.
Hope you all have a good day - here is a picture of Bonnie

STS here.
Thank you for the interesting article about keeping 20% lower calories to maintain weight and the links (I didn't manage to reply earlier). I imagine that at some point our body adjusts and then we should be able to eat like the rest of the people in our weight? No?? Or did I miss something?9 -
Molly41 Bonnie is absolutely perfect!! I hope she settles in quickly and brings you a lot of happiness 😊
Sn1987a I dont know! I just read it, and had a look at the medical articles to verify before I took it too seriously. There is no suggestion of it changing, or not, in the future. In a common sense way it correlates with my experience and the experience of people i know and seemed to explain a lot.
Dieting friend for lunch today - courgette 'pasta' with tomato and red pepper sauce sprinkled with a few black olives and a bit of feta.
Cauliflower and bacon and cheese sauce for dinner. I'll be careful with my portions!
Have a good day everybody 🌻🌼

Hang out the bunting. I have lost another pound. This is getting boring. Do you think I've cracked it? I won't get complacent, but a pound a week is unheard of for me. Mind you, if I relaxed too soon I could put back every pound I've lost in less than a week.
Mollie, what an enchanting puppy! I have a friend whom has a black one of those and they are such characters.I believe that friends are quiet angels

I hope Bonnie is settling in Molly, if I didn't think the cat would eat her (she's so small) I would kidnap her
although I have been told that Westies can be wilful 😁
well done on the STSs and Monna nearly at target 👏👏
A expensive trip to the opticians this morning although not as expensive as it could have been. Just the left eye has deteriorated so they are going to just replace that lens as they were new glasses about 16 months ago 🤓but they have to do it in two pairs of glasses and my lenses don't come cheap unfortunately. The other 'good' newsit seems I have small cataracts developing in both eyes, currently not at the do anything yet stage 😐
I parked my car at my sister's so late lunch was a bacon and tomato roll at hers when I picked it up along with a two and a half hour gossip catch up. Because I had a late lunch I haven't been that hungry so dinner was a pack of crisp (as per Monnas instructions) and some cherries

Thanks for the flags TTB.
I'm finding that taking things slowly and easily is working. I now have to stop myself getting stricter to lose more quickly. I know full well that if I tighten up my eating I will lose weight more quickly. I also know that I will grow resentful at denying myself the things I love, break down, stuff myself as if there's no tomorrow and put back everything I've lost so far.
No. Slow and steady wins the race.
Fingers crossed.I believe that friends are quiet angels

hello x
Thank you for all your good wishes re Bonnie x
Im up trying to have resolve as I have settled Bonnie 3 times so far and she keeps crying which is heart breaking - im such a softie. im trying controlled crying but she is persistent. apparently she sleeps til 6.30 am - eh no. Molly doggy is a bit bemused and have to give her space too.
Did ok with food today although I am picking a lot which I need to stop. Still for the first time Im really enjoying what I eat which is good.
Oh well back to Bonnie - its gonna be a long night xI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
