Morning Losers.
TTB the sudden need for something sweet is why I always have some sugar free jelly made up in the fridge. It's saved me many a time.
sn. I eat a lot of salad so I have a session of preparing those things that have to be peeled/sliced/grated and popping them into plastic boxes in the fridge. They keep for a good few days. No good if you are not a salad lover though.
Keep going my darlings, we'll get there eventually.

Not terribly well planned out, but am trying to make up for eating crumble last night.
Did a nice fast 5 k this morning, not sure how it got fast, maybe it was because I was worried being late for work!
Al going kayaking tomorrow - could be the last outing before term takes over!

I have to declare a 3lb GAIN unfortunately. This is over two weeks with one being spent on the coast in the campervan and two major meals out. This week brings OH's birthday which means a curry will be consumed and a few low alcohol beers. I am back to normal now, two smoothies a day and one lightish meal so hopefully I will lose much of what was gained over the course of the next week. Well done all you more focussed losers, keep it up!Solar Suntellite 250 x16 4kW Afore 3600TL dual 2KW E 2KW W no shade, DN15 March 14

Afternoon All,
ditty Well done for the stay the same and getting back on track with your 5Ks. I'm ever hopeful that I might actually complete C25K this time but I don't see myself ever being able to run every day or fast
Brambling Hopefully the new glasses will stop any further spice mishaps Sorry, I know it must've been very annoying but it did make me laugh.
monnagran Well done on the loss. I definitely agree that taking it slowly seems to be more sustainable than trying to lose it all quickly. I also end up snapping, eating everything in sight and putting on twice as much as I lost if I try to cut out too much in one go.
ouraggie I'm glad it's not just me who gets annoyed when appliances don't come in the same colour as everything else!
Molly Bonnie is absolutely adorable!! I hope Molly dog's slightly less bemused now.
Gingerlily Well done for the loss.
nananibbles Sorry it's been a hard week for you but well done for drawing a line under it and best of luck for getting back onto the wagon.
TTB Well done for the loss, even with a bad day thrown in. I really must get my dad to collect the windfalls from their garden, they make perfect apple sauce.
Living_proof Commiserations for the gain but, over a couple of weeks and with your birthday/time away, that's really good.
Sirens I can sympathise with how unfair a STS feels when you know you've done everything right. I'm not sure if ballooning in the heat is a thing but I did notice that my weight was very stubbornly stuck but has dropped in the past couple of days, since it cooled down, so hopefully next week's weigh in will reflect last week's efforts.
sn1987a I know it's not very MSE but one of the reasons I like bagged salad is because I can just dump a load of it on a plate, throw a couple of other bits on and call it dinner.
Blue Doggy Congratulations on the loss.
Honey Congratulations on the loss. It's good to know that eating a 'normal' amount seems to have balanced itself out. I think that the reason you need fewer calories to keep on losing is because as your weight goes down so does your basal metabolic rate - something to do with carrying excess weight making your body have to work harder just to keep you alive - but I could be imagining that
lapis_lazuli Sorry you've not been well but at least it led to a loss. Well done for getting so close to your target.
My body's an odd thing (in so many ways... ), having spent the best part of two weeks sticking at exactly the same weight it's suddenly come off in a whoosh so I'm weighing in with a 3.5lb loss. I'm not sure how much of it is due to having been busy so only eating dinner yesterday and how much is an actual loss but I'll take it. We've got my mother-in-law staying for a few days this week, which always makes dieting harder, but I'll try to stick to it as best I can. I always bake a cake when she's here and I did have a slice today but, as it counted as breakfast and lunch, I figure it shouldn't do too much damage.
Best of luck and stay safe everyone xx9 -
hello x
Izadora - well done on your weight loss x
Living_proof - keep plodding on x
Im just waiting for Bonnie to go to sleep. We had a terrible night which culminated in us getting up at 4am. This has consequently led me to feel awfully tired and very picky as regards food. Sweet things being the order of the day. I did however have an early lunch of fish pie and a huge salad which satiated my need to pick and Ive had a better afternoon. Im really hoping for a much better night. Bonnie is doing really well so if we can crack the night - times it would be the icing on the cake.
Bluedoggy - I will try the large toy, I will try any ideas for settling Bonnie so please give me your thoughts.
I am still keeping my diary and finding it very enlightening. I have added a hunger scale and have noted I don't always eat when hungry and it has shown me that my hunger spikes after my meds but subsides about an hour after. I have made a conscious effort not to give in to hunger at these times.
Anyway Bonnie quiet so must grab some shut eye while i can, another busy day tomorrow xI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.8 -
Good evening xx
Bonnie is gorgeous Molly, hope she's settling in well x
Tighteningthebelt well done exceeding your goal loss x

Living proof think I think that's a very respectable gain for a holiday, it will come back off in a few days x
Well done on that great loss Izadora x

@Izadora just want to mention that I don't usually run every day but I'm just trying it 'for fun' and I am fairly slow with everything I do as my asthma just gets me out of breath for nothing. But I just keep on trying, c25k is great and just 3 times a week for about 30 min :-) I'm sure you could do it if you really wanted to! But then maybe you dont, and that is just very fine. Running helps me keep my head tidy xLBM Jan 2019 - £25.928/Active debt £14253, 54% sorted

Morning 🙂
Declaring today's food;
L celery feta
D pesto lentils with green beans and courgette.
Confessing I ate far too many crisps last night, and some dip, and a samosa. Then, because I am a food addict, I had stewed apples and yogurt when I got home and I wasnt even hungry. What to say?! I think the best strategy would be not to eat dinner before I go to that particular friends garden.
Hope you all have the best of days 🌺🌺A bit of grin and bear it, a bit of come and share it
You're welcome we can spare it, yellow socks7 -
Morning Losers,
Molly, now there's a dog who is going to be successful in life. Sorted out the most comfortable bed in the house. Incapacitated the main source of irritation in the house, the thing that distracts my human's attention from ME. Can pose for the camera. Makes it quite clear that whatever her crazy humans are up to SHE will sleep when and where she pleases.
Be very careful Molly. With that sort of mindset it's just possible that she may, one day, work out how to be a cat. Then you will have no hope at all.
Point to Ponder. Dogs come when they are called. Cats take a message and may get back to you later.
Back to eating. My advice? Don't.I believe that friends are quiet angels
