Well done to those that have lost or STS x
Nananibbles - commiserations - I have gained but can't face the purple devils, so you are not the only one xx
Im plodding on! Another sick day steroids today so struggling with hunger. have to keep telling myself its a trick of the body!!!
I didnt do too well yesterday so going to try hard today.
I'm now writing down my food and drink intake. I want to see where I keep going wrong. It's also to get into the habit of keeping a food diary again as have been referred to Eating Disorder Services again - really want to tackle it again!!
Anyway have a good if hot day - drink lots of water xx
Today..
Spaghetti, cheese, meatballs, peppers spring onion and mushrooms.
Marmite on toast. (starving afterwards so followed by whole box of plums)10 -
Hello xx
Im up as per usual with all the doors open and fans going - oh its so hot!!
I kept up my food diary. Thanks @honeythewitch - I am going to try to be kind to myself (easier said than done but thats a trait we all share I think ) xx
What did I learn from my first day? Well I eat as I go along, mainly salad and fruit, so not too much damage. I satiate my desire to eat by taking mouthfuls of "naughty food" - something I could cut back on. I don't have a big portion just a taste. Im enjoying what I eat, eating mindfully. I am tempted to eat when I make a cup of tea (which is often) so need to address that one. I already know that I get hunger pangs and the feeling of needing to eat about half an hour after my steroids and mood stabiliser and anti sickness meds. Umm very helpful exercise I would recommend it!! Will carry on.
Anyway must try and sleep otherwise I'll know about it later xxI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.9 -
Morning everybody!
L - soup... edit - too hot for soup, an apple and a marmite bread instead.
D - beef rendang with mangetous and carrots. Melon for pud.
Hope you all have a good day 💛😊A bit of grin and bear it, a bit of come and share it
You're welcome we can spare it, yellow socks7 -
Good morning all,
Oh it is just too hot, not even the sea breeze is lifting the heat, though its forecast to storm later.
TTB - I had to read your post twice - I thought it was you who had lost 98.5lbs - I was about to congratulate you and encourage another 1 1/2lbs to get you to 100
Yesterday went down hill pretty quickly after the porridge and included one and a half boxes of chocolates and a millionaire shortbread - I blame the heat, it was too hot to cook but I was so tired from lack of sleep due to the heat
I'm off to melt somewhere

Hi all. I'm going to download the myfitness app again as I am really struggling with portion control and eating between meals. I have been exercising, swimming and gentle yoga - too hot for anything strenuous and riding my bike regularly to the shops. Between that, I have mostly been horizontal because of the heat! I'm not looking forward to wi on Friday as the best I can hope for is STS. Oh well, need to actually commit. X7

Evening all It seems I forgot to weigh in last week so I'm recording a 2lb loss for 2 weeks
Molly I think most of us will say far nastier stuff to ourselves than we would to anybody else, we all tend to be hard on ourselves.
Thanks for doing the totting up TTB, those numbers look good 😁
I'm too hot to do much at the moment, it was 34 in the baking hot SE yesterday and felt the same today 🥵 I'm not built for this heat and the lack of sleep is the killer. My younger skinny colleague complained all through a two hour call on how hot it is and how she couldn't work in it etc etc etc I may have snapped that if she through she had problems she should try being a overweight menopausal asthmatic in it, probably not my finest moment and I know with four children life isn't a bed of roses for her but she can complain for England and nobody ever as it as bad as she does
food-wise I have been all over the place, too hot to want to cook or eat probablyLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin8 -
Hi all
It's been a while since my last post, as we have been busy at our holiday cottage decorating and cleaning, without regular internet access. Also, it seems that, in common with several of you ,my get-up-and-go has well and truly got up and walked off, sticking two fingers up at me behind its back whilst retreating! I suspect the current heatwave is mostly to blame, though I could happily do without the hot flushes aswell. I am going everywhere accompanied by a small pink battery operated fan! Happily OH sleeps through it when I get a 3 am power surge.
Miraculously I have managed to lose 2 more lbs since my last post. I say miraculously because we have eaten out 3 times so far in August and I have also spent most of the last week downing sorbet, ice cream and cold beers in an attempt to keep sane.
I reckon I need to step up to the plate a bit better. I have 11 lbs left to lose but only 7 weeks left to do it in 😶. But I WILL do it.
