Didn't quite get to my target calorie burn as I ended up making the most of the dry weather and getting back out in the garden to do some deadheading and weeding. Picked a bunch of runner beans to have for lunch and dinner - it brings me such pleasure to eat what I've grown. So exercise calories for the day 730 taking my deficit down to 418. Foodwise I was hungry most of the day, mainly due to exercising in the morning. Vaguely stuck to plan though I ended up finishing the Dahl rather than making a stir fry (actually I left some in the tub as I thought I could always come back to it if I was still hungry and blow me down I left it) Scrambled tofu was rather delish. Not sure if anyone has the Tesco seeded batch but I had the crust toasted for my lunch - its about 3 slices thick and of course I had to have 2 slices of toast to fit my tofu on
Nibbled quite a bit today, but it should be cancelled out by any additional calories burned. Just tried the Cadbury triple chocolate - nom nom nom
Have a lovely evening every one.

Day 10
Exercise:
walked for just over an hour to visit a friend (we sat in her garden and had a cup of tea) and walked back (stopping to do a little supermarket shopping)
Food:
calories - 2016 (way too many - but did have that extra walking)
fruit & veg - =4 portions (including banana, pineapple, almonds, peanuts, seeds) - too few, but 6 portions yesterday

So as I kind of expected I have lost it this week and I am back at square one and it's +2lb for me.
Its all portion size and just too much bread/wheat/pasta/pizza basically everything bread for dinner this week. Hope everybody else is doing a bit better.Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%

Good morning, everyone
.
Ditty commiserations on the gain, hopefully you’ll be able to lose it quickly as you’ve identified the causes.
Izadora I’m glad your quiz night went well. I find alcohol increases my appetite, and makes it easier to eat the wrong things (possibly to mop up the booze?).
Nananibbles how lovely that your runner beans are ready, mine are still just babies.Little Voice well done on your walks, and isn’t it nice to be able to meet friends again.Ttb so glad your first fast day went well, I hope yesterday was as good. I’d find it very hard to do, so respect to you.
Gingerlily congratulations on your loss 👏 I hope your mood lifted and you felt happier as the day went on.
Yesterday didn’t go to plan, I got about an hour’s gardening done then was exhausted, so lunch was oatmeal and milk same as breakfast, so the salad lived another day. Dinner was on plan.
Today:
B : bacon & eggs (and very good they were, too)
L : tinned fish salad; yogurt & strawberries
D : jacket potato with lentils & Mediterranean veg; cherries
Have a good weekend, folks!“Tomorrow is another day for decluttering.”Decluttering 2023 🏅🏅🏅🏅⭐️⭐️

Morning all,
I managed my 2 day fast ok 🍽🍽 The interesting thing that I found out is that I missed making meals and knocking about in the kitchen! So we made a batch of soup both days with DS being the taster. They've gone in the freezer. I also fiddled about in the kitchen while DS made his evening meal, then tidied up while he ate so I didnt have to watch. Although I had a drive to be in the kitchen I had no real desire to eat. Must just be a habit, certainly something to ponder.
I think I'll extend it through today too 🍽. I feel fine and if I do 3 days 4 nights then I will have done the full learning curve prior to my treatments which would be a job ticked off.
nananibbles and bluedoggy my runner beans are only just flowers!
Have a good day everyone, it is nice to see the sunshine back. ☀️🌞A bit of grin and bear it, a bit of come and share it
You're welcome we can spare it, yellow socks12 -

I seem to have lost this week in work and brain fog. It was June at this house until this morning - just turned over all the calendars. I've not written down what I've eaten which is not a good sign. I ended the week in style with pizza and chips delivered to the house. After a topsy turvy week and stress at work I needed it and. boy, did I enjoy it.
So I'm writing off this week and I am so tempted to say I'll start again on Monday. No you will not, Roundtuit. You will start again NOW. (And you'll be glad you did on weigh day!)
One day at a time.
Hugs to all

I've had a long chat with myself and asked if I do want to lose weight or if I want to take a break? Reminded myself of why I started this journey in the first place and decided to stay on board the wagon. My Stressy Bessy head will have to come up with solutions that do not include inhaling fat and sugar.
So (deep breath) Brambling please put me down for + 4 lbs.I've received an official complaint from those 4 chublings - do I want them or not- on / off / on / off /on Seems they are developing a complex and low self esteem. So in the best interests of those 4 chubsters I have decided they have to go. Then I will start to evict their friends one by one - oh heck, I will now not want to lose half a chubster!!!! Head first or feet?? Tbh my scales do not have the finesse to recognise half so I will not have to make that decision. Phew!
I've not caught up with the thread. I'm hoping to have a read later - but first I need to climb back on to the flylady wagon and the banish the clutter wagon. Stressy Bessy has thrown all my spinning plates in the floor - I need to get them up and turning again - even if it's v-e-r-y s-l-o-w-l-y. I am a tortoise, not a hare.
Enough rambling. I hope you are all well and happy and safe.
Hugs

Morning Losers
Let me get the exciting bit over first. Weigh in day and l have LOST 1 POUND. Very pleased with myself and not a little surprised. I haven't been particularly greedy, but perhaps not as careful as I should have been.
I don't usually tell what I have eaten, but yesterday I had, in no particular order............
Toast and marmite. 2 slices of toast with tomatoes and cheese. Strawberries, nectarine and grapes chopped up, Greek yoghurt and a drizzle of honey. Don't you just love that drizzle of honey? Sounds very cheffy and not at all like the hefty squirt from a sqeezy bottle that it truly was. 2 crackers, pate and cucumber and 2 ginger biscuits.
ditty, you will notice that I am a bit heavy on bread too. That's because I am trying to find a sustainable way of eating, not a diet as such. I can't kid myself that I could ever give up bread. I can cut down drastically on other things, but bread is my staple so has to be included. I make my own too, so the slices are not exactly dainty.
I am still doing my slow, mindful eating and trying to stop when my body tells me I have had enough and it seems to be working without me feeling deprived.
I'll come back later and find out how my fellow Saturday weigh-iners have done.I believe that friends are quiet angels

Good morning all,
I forgot to report in yesterday, but it's a 1 lb loss for me please. I've been a bit stressed due to a new job (carer but for one person and private house, not a home so infection risk is low). It's something that I've done before but not for a long time. Hopefully it will go well.
The no sugar thing is OK-ish. I had a one day lapse earlier this week - due mainly to stressing about the new job but I'm back to it now. I'm not doing "low carb/no carb". That way lies migraines so just no food with sugar in it such as sweets/chocolate/cake/processed junk. My sister has also had a bit of a wobble so it seems that we're very similar.
Well done everyone that has posted. Lose or gain you're keeping yourself accountable and learning about your eating habits and triggers for over eating as you go. Remember not to feel bad if you gain - nobody is perfect and if it was easy we'd all look like Twiggy.
Take care all of you12
