Good morning, everyone
Wow! Congratulations all losers! 👏👏👏 Add it all up and it looks like close to a stone lost between us all.
Roundtuit very well done in putting the Jaffa cakes back! 👍
ttb what an amazing feat of fasting! 🎖 made extra special by your not immediately going on a wrong-foods binge 👏
I’m just off back to bed, having woken very early, so will keep this brief. Weighing in with a loss of 1lb! I managed to buy myself a glut of courgettes, such are the perils of shopping in multiple places. Yesterday’s meal plan slightly reshuffled: B ✅, L watercress soup, bread roll, cherries ✅ slice of Victoria sponge ❌ D tinned herring salad, strawberries & cream ✅
Today:
B : porridge ✅
D : roast chicken, courgettes, carrots, one other veg; strawberries & cream
T : ham & tongue salad; cherries
S : none planned
Have a good day, all!“Tomorrow is another day for decluttering.”Decluttering 2023 🏅🏅🏅🏅⭐️⭐️

brambling 4lb loss please.
I'm very happy with that! I'm not sure if it'll come back on a bit though as the deficits dont stack up, but I'll take it (and feel jubilant) while its going.
Food wise today I'm soup with 25g cheddar 25g nuts for lunch, pesto lentils spring greens and melon for dinner. The last can of Heineken with my friend in his garden tonight.
will catch up properly later. I didnt want to read all the yummy food while I wasnt able to have any (if you dont want to slip dont go where its slippery!!)
A bit of grin and bear it, a bit of come and share it

Morning Losers.
Roundtuit, did I read that correctly? You are not interested in Jaffa cakes in the morning? I don't believe that for a moment. I bet you could choke them down with minimum encouragement.
Blue, well done on the loss. Looking at your menu plan you certainly get your 5 a day. Well done. With my rule of only eating what I truly want, the five a day sometimes turns out to be 9 or 10, but on other days it is only 1 or 2. I suppose it all averages out.
I am convinced that if we are too strict with ourselves our brains will only put up with it for so long. After a while rebellion sets in and its "I'm totally peed off with this. Pass the crisps." Well that's me anyway. Don't let me put anyone else off donning the hair shirt and halo.I believe that friends are quiet angels

Hi just checking back in. Does anybody else's weight change a kilo over 24 hours? Anyways looks like I'm still pretty much and yesterday's WI was a blimp. Fingers crossed. Did 2 laps of swimming this morning so 1600 m and will probably go for a walk later. What a lovely day for it, thinking about booking an extra mid week swim - it is my summer holls after all! Didn't do any exercise yesterday but for a short bike ride, a short walk and a couple of hours of gardening. I was cutting down ivy and it made me really ill for the rest of the day - think I'm allergic to plant dust!
Breakfast today was oats w milk and coffee, brunch was 1.5 scone w jam and cheese and half a slice w mackerel and mayo.
A snack this afternoon will be roasted vege and dinner will be a meat and vege lasagne. So not particularly this or that.
I will be eating less bread, and ideally only the dark rye for lunch.
Is anybody doing the NHD 12 week programme, aI might try to print it out and use it for the 12 weeks as that might help getting me closer to my overall target. Just wondering.Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%

Just popping in to say to ditty, if you weigh yourself daily make sure to write it down, you need at least a fortnight’s data (a month is better), and not to lose focus in between. You’ll see that your weight fluctuates, because your body is a dynamic, living, highly complex, system. It is trying to protect your brain and other organs from the effects of starvation, and will change your metabolic rate, or start to generate energy by burning muscle if not getting enough fat or carb.I’ve found that it fluctuates around a point, and as long as that point is trending downwards you’ll lose weight in the long term.
Monnagran I lurve fruit, could (and have) snack(ed) on it, and I enjoy veg, too. The thing is though, a lot of fruit (grapes, pineapples, mangoes, bananas) are high in sugar, and root veg are quite high in sugar, too. With veg, it depends on the function of that part of the plant in the plant’s life: roots store energy, so are higher carb/sugar/calories than leaves (energy capture). Seeds (including nuts) store the energy and nutrients - including oils - which are needed to grow a new plant. Oops, this is turning into a bit of a lecture, so I’d better shut up for now! You’re right about bodily rebellion, though; that’s when we need to creep up behind it and take it by surprise!“Tomorrow is another day for decluttering.”Decluttering 2023 🏅🏅🏅🏅⭐️⭐️

Hello x
Been MIA a few days as have had a horrid migraine!
Ive tried to keep up with cycling but not today as just sooo tired. Even mindful baking was not so mindful as all fingers and thumbs. I have my appointment tomorrow morning so think it might be playing on my mind!
Tried my swimsuit on for my little holiday - its too big - so DH has treated me to a new smaller one!!!
Well done @tighteningthebelt for your fast - I can't manage without tea though!
@ditty - I can't cope with WI every day and at different times for the very reason I don't think it gives a good picture of your weight loss overall - I used to WI constantly through out the day and find it too triggering.I used to be able to deviate by about 4 lbs over the course of a day!
Well Im settling down for the evening - hopefully be more productive in the next 24 hours.
Keep on keeping on xxxI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.13 -
Hi @Blue_Doggy just want to say I'm aware of this have been weighing since March and its a slightly downward zig zag line.
Just looked at the NHS 12 week diet in more detail, they want you to live on 1400can a day, to be frank I think that is a random number.
Here is my random math, and genuinely what got me started on losing weight: The 12 kg I have put on over the last decade is the equivalent of 23 cal a day over 10 years. So if I deduct/under eat 100cal or even 200 a day I am way ahead. The NHS plan wants you to miss about 600 cal a day. I think thats harsh, at least every day and I think it might just slow your metabolism as well. But hats off tor you who are doing it.
For me food is to linked to emotional things and I do tend to comfort eat and when my blood sugar drops I get really unwell, so I'm going for the slow pace. And love this thread. Thanks for running it.Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%

Well I have just caught up... everybody is doing so well, we are a good team! Even those of us who havent lost this last week or two are facing our demons and making plans accordingly which is what it's all about.
Brambling, izadora, sandyshores, ditty eating carbs, especially bread when I get tired is how I got fat. It's true roundtuit about the evenings being the risky time. My brain confuses the 'go to bed' signal with the 'go to the kitchen's signal.
bluedoggy I had forgotten watercress soup, thanks for the reminder!
ouraggie hope you worded your husband up about presenting you with off diet food. Sounds like he was being kind though.
nananibbles thank you for the slaw recipe, sounds lovely.
monnagran I was thinking of you last time I had a chocolate biscuit - i was mindfully sucking tiny nibbles of it!!!
Molly41 good news that you're getting on your bike so often. I do love an audiobook. I do hope your appt goes well tomorrow.
Littlevoice Doesn't sound like the cauliflower pizza was a success, hope the next attempt proves more successful.
gingerlily hope you're feeling a bit happier
Hi to everyone else, hope you're all ok. 🙂🌻A bit of grin and bear it, a bit of come and share it

DS and GF have been for a walk to the c00p and returned with a bag full of goodies. I am polishing my haloas I resisted the urge to ask them to bring me 'choc-chat'. I've had a drink of water instead. I wish I always had this head on!
