Hi all. Just signing in with today's menu:
Br - cereal, ginger nut
Lu - sandwich thins with ham and chutney, cake bar
Snack - 5 crackers with a dairylea triangle, low- fat crisps (both OH's fault. He randomly made me the plate of crackers when doing one for himself, then opened the crisps and didn't like them so I had to eat them!) 😈
Di - burger with mushrooms and pasta
Think I'd better walk to work tomorrow even if it's raining!

Hi All and @Brambling I'm happy and one step closer to solving all of my problems with cups of tea :-) And I stuck with the lunch I had brought and am now very hungry waiting for dinner. And eating a carrot. Running will now be in the morning.Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%

Running late tonight so just a quick update to confess my sins - yes, chocolate cake - again, I know, it gets me every time. Nephews birthday cake, it would have been rude not to - but don't worry I didn't add any clotted cream this time
Other than the slight deviation and swopping stir fry for left over black bean stew things were fairly on plan. I think Im getting better at not nibbling so much - maybe cake is the answerStill down on exercise calories 200 today so that leaves me with a deficit of 800 calories to make up over the next 5 days on top of my 500 daily minimum.
Tomorrow I will be out come rain or shine

Hello x
Wide awake and full of beans!
Going on my recumbent bike in a little while.
Went food shopping today with DH - first time since lock down so had a field day. Bought a few naughties but have portioned them up and frozen them away in individual portions. Got the ingredients for mindful baking at the weekend - choc chip shortbread - a new recipe but a favourite with my sons.
Bit scary was shopping but nice to be out in the wide world again!.
Im going to make a chocolate cake for DS3's birthday soon - but can't partake as gives me migraine. Still enjoy the process.
Had some beetroot and mint hummus and veg chips for tea - yummy and thought ok as tummy settled.
Must away - Jilly Cooper to listen to. Im really enjoying it - Imogen atm - I grew up on her and intend to listen to all of them whilst cycling. Just wish the good mood would last during the day!.
Nighty night x Take care xI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.11 -

Good morning, everyone
monnagran I hope the results from the blood test are good.Fingers crossed all will be well.🤞
ttb best wishes for your fast days, hope all goes well
ditty I hope the test went wellA cup of tea is pretty close to a magic potion.
Little Voice well done on your loss 👏 I think you are right about the effects non-dieting friends, also here we can learn from each other.Molly very well done on keeping up with your cycling, and making good use of being awake in the small hours 👍 Happy baking!
Izadora good work on your early baking. I’m sure monna has said somewhere that baked goods eaten in the interests of quality control are completely calorie-free.I hope your pub quiz went well.
Sonyarita 👋welcome and best wishes
Brambling congratulations on your loss 👏. I hope you’ve slept better last night, early waking is horrid.
Ouraggie I hope it stays dry for your walk to work
Nananibbles well done on resisting the clotted cream
Today I’m hoping to go to a really nice farm shop about half an hour’s drive away - I’ve been trying to get there for ages, so fingers crossed for today!
Yesterday’s meal plan was only partly stuck to: double breakfast ❌; lunch ✅ (but it was a cheese omelette with salad); dinner: couldn’t find the couscous(!) so had small jacket spud with lentils and mixed Med veges ✅; snacks of 4 oatcakes with Marmite, 1 square of chocolate, 2 glasses wine ❌
Today’s plan
B : sausages and eggs (done)
L : cheese salad
D : grilled steak with veg, possibly cooked gooseberries with yogurt
S : hoping none, but who knows?

Good morning all,
Straight out this morning for a hill walk, 560 calories burned so my deficit is down to 740, aiming for another 200 this afternoon. Your comment did make me laugh monnagran, I can tell you that at 5oclock this morning I was thinking along those lines but now I’m back I’m feeling much better for it.
TTB - I too am a serious sugar addict. Nowadays I embrace it (with slight moderation) rather than feeling guilty about it and make sure I savour every bite. Good luck with your fasting - that is something I know just couldn’t manage, so well done.
I hope your test went to plan ditty1234, 5 hours is a lot of driving.
Molly41 - Jilly Cooper takes me back some, I can still picture her photo on the back of her books - they were certainly considered racy back in the day but nothing on ‘shades of grey’ so I’m told, though Ive never read it. I hope your stomach is more settled today - too many legumes has a similar affect on me!
Well done on your loss Littlevoice - your diet record is clear and concise - I’m terrible at rambling all over the place when I’m posting mine on here, a bit like my dieting
.
How were the biscuits Izadora - did you get to taste them? I’m an early bird myself up by 4.30 most mornings but in bed for 8.30 at night though this changes as we head towards winter. It sounds like I was getting up as you were nodding off to sleep Brambling - there’s nothing worse than tossing and turning through the night, for me its my biggest binge trigger as have a carb party the next day just to keep me awake for the day.
TODAY I AM GOING TO STICK TO MY PLAN AND NOT NIBBLE - HONEST
Menu Plan
B - porridge with bits ( reducing portion size a little)
S - melon but only if im really hungry
L - hummus and salad sarnie (not much in the way of salad left)
S - satsuma
D - coconut Dahl with butternut squash, small naan and red cabbage slaw. (Was going to make a stir fry but I’m using the last of the veg to make DD a vegan lasagne and I find pasta not conducive to the way I like to eat).
P - small dairy milk bar
Have a good day everyone, smell those roses

Morning All, weighed in this morning and am pleased to report a 1lb weight loss. 1st of 6, so am feeling pleased.
Its been really hectic this week so I haven't had chance to watch my diet, but it means I also haven't had time or energy to over eat. I'm not sure it would work as a long term diet plan as I'm feeling exhausted so I need to watch I don't do my usual trick and try to replace energy with chocolate - although its very nice and it is Thursday

Molly, I'm not pleased with you! The mere mention of choc chip shortbread has me thinking wistfully of choc chip cookies that I sometimes make. I usually only make them when I'm expecting visitors and then I can kiss goodbye to any thought of losing weight until the last biscuit disappears from the tin. Doesn't usually take long. I have someone coming to fit my curtains tomorrow. D'you think that counts as a visitor?
Blue, you be careful in that farm shop. They are dreadful places for unravelling good intentions. I mean, it's a farmshop so the food is bound to be healthy, isn't it? Yes it is, but not guaranteed to be non-fattening.
Must go now. I can smell my toast cooking.
Back later.I believe that friends are quiet angels

Well done on your first loss Sandy
Nana I hadn't thought about it but you're right with the tiredness i was eating carbs and sugar
I'm glad things went well Ditty, my dutch colleague thinks it's highly amusing that when we take a break on a conference call we go and put the kettle on to make a cup of teahe says we are stereotypically English
B - Strawberries and banana
L - egg and salad wrap & Raspberries
D - pan fried cod, new potatoes, french beans and LO Ratatouille
S - nothing so far...............
