savingwannabe said:Great news on the tip run, yum to lovely food. I have been inspired by your porridge and healthy eating. I am glad you have saved as now you can treat yourself. Fantastic news. Wishing you a great week.
I think another big mind-set change is, instead of 'rewarding' myself with unhealthy choices i.e. chocolate and it's horribly attractive friends, I am trying 'healthy' rewards. Like activity clothing, which I don't recall buying before, but also reining in the impulses. The exercise stuff should be one-off investments in my future self/health!"...when you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains however improbable, must be the truth..."

You don't appear to be counting the walking to / from relatives within your exercises, that's an easy cal burner!
Rewards and treats can be anything from a new pair of socks, to a more quality tea.
- I buy loose herbal tea, then keep adding hot water to it all day. Means I'm saving money overall and having a nicer brewThe bigger rewards would be a pot of paint, bonus points for the cals burnt painting 😊Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.2 -

Quick update from Ren.
She's fine, but got her hands full at the moment and no time to pop in to update. Normal service will resume in due course.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.3 -

Thanks everyone - sorry I am not replying individually at the moment, I am ok just cream-crackered. Bit of a family disaster to help with isn't helping the sleep...
The silver lining is I am too pre-occupied to spend, eat junk (don't fancy food much at the minute) but exercising as frequent walking visits!
The car would've been handy - but no I haven't got one. Just decided to shrink the signature as it seemed to get longer and longer...."...when you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains however improbable, must be the truth..."
