And because for some reason I can't seem to get off this laptop, I have googled what I was accidentally growing, and it was (ironically/appropriately?) a wild flower called 'Self-heal'... I could not make that up....
Now it is in the compost, it will be growing everywhere when it's finally spread about....

I keep thinking that I am going wildly off topic, as this diary is really to help me focus on my financial health, which I have seriously neglected. I will attempt to freecycle it if family don't want it. Ta!Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1201 -
You haven't scared anyone off due to what you posted, so get that out your head now!
I've got four hugel mounds in the garden, long term composting down, TomBo swears they are going to enrich the soil over the next however many years. I grew some fantastic beetroot on one and the same one is where the random spuds have popped up. Green manure (clover and mustard seeds) have been sown, they will be chopped down and dug in next year as extra nutrition.
Even my walled rose garden is built on a hugel mound 😁
Nothing stopping you having a hugel mound and a separate nature nest.

Thanks - I belatedly thought about mental triggers, but, I have already posted a lot of info now.... Just hoping that showing my up's and down's will help others tackle their financial hurdles, even if they have any similar issues. Like what I do to protect myself from myself, if that makes sense?

Ooh, that's it, the wildlife will have to use what they have already, the next lot of prunings & logs are going to be hugeled!

Round here, a mobile library van 'replaced' the local library, but it only visited about one morning or afternoon in the middle of the week, effectively not available to everyone out at work unless they could get to it in lunch or tea breaks. And that excluded everyone wanting or needing the extra services it used to offer like toddler groups, or pensioner groups, and access to internet because they aren't all lucky enough, or, have money enough, to have internet access like myself. It's not a wealthy area, yet, where these services are needed the most, they have cut them. Ok. I am getting a bit ranty now... (Or is that ratty?)
Anyhoo, I rang my bank, checked their opening hours, now reduced to 10-2pm, and I am going to actually visit them to make sure it's all set up ok... Also having a vet appointment/check up as the little furry monster has been off her feed, most unusual for her, she's also lost a bit of weight, and as she is getting older I think an MOT is in order....

Update (or should that be pupdate?)
The dog is bouncing with health, after showing all the signs of aged decreptitude, wearily dragging her paws to the Vet... And happily dragging me all the way back home! Doh!
A bit expensive £41 for peace of mind, and she has actually gained weight, plus grabbed something off the floor as we walked past.... Now acting as if there is nothing wrong with her, must be the weather....

So, now the dog is bouncing around with health, and the bank balance is a bit lighter, I thought I should attempt other ways of raising a bit of money.
I have braved the survey site 'i-Say' via the link on MSE, and having a go on those. Less painful than I thought, after going through the masses of questions there, only thing is, after the first couple, only getting a survey every other day. And then it seems to say that they already have had enough replies, or I am not suitable... Guess I am too old, not consumerist enough (keeps asking me if I have a whole range of electronic devices, not just a computer, which I don't have and don't want), and that I am not looking to buy this or that in the near future.... Sigh..
There may be something in the offing, don't know if it will work out yet, but will keep posting if it does happen... The bank thing has a little delay on it at the moment, but, it will be sorted. I didn't quite realise when I started my intention of saving, how much of a change of mindset I needed to develop. I really think it's crucial, but, I think it's something a lot of you knew already, looking at you Babs! : D
It kind of feels corny saying this, but, in trying to save for my future self, it feels like I am saving my present self. I get the feeling its too little, too late, but its better to have a small nest egg for retirement/house maintenance, than nothing at all.... : )
