We had the same call about mortgage offer subject to valuation. However from valuation to offer we waited 8 weeks. Kent are thorough and rightly so due to the current climate.Dont br suprised should more questions be asked once the valuation comes back.1

Oh ok thank you. Guess it is a waiting game for me again0

I completed on my purchase earlier today; so just wanted to come back to give you all a positive boost! I first reserved my property in October 2020; so it’s taken almost 5 months to get to this point! I’m self employed, a sole applicant, and have a few defaults from several years ago on my credit file.Mortgage in principle - 19/10
Reserved property 24/10
Full application (after waiting for documents from accountant) 11/11Here follows several rounds of questions from Kent reliance and answers from me. They take their time and are really thorough; but I’d far rather have a person making the decision than a computer!
also... several weeks of waiting for the memorandum of sale from the housing association (as have bought shared ownership)
Early December- valuation carried out. I paid for this In with my fees, so wouldn’t go on this alone as a sign your mortgage is going to be approved.
4/1/2021 - I received my Mortgage offer.
5/2 - Exchange of contracts
12/2 - completion, and collection of keys!Good luck to you all.2 -
Hi,
So we have been waiting a few weeks for the memorandum of sale which has now been sent to Kent.. our broker said all documents have been approved they are were just waiting for the memorandum of sale then they will do final checks.... what are final checks?! Do they mean credit check, going through statements etc or literally tick boxes and then the offer is done?0 -
Omg i received my offer letter today!!! Yayyyy that was so quick, hope you get your good news too, all the best everyone.
4/2/21 - mortgage application submitted
10/2/21 - mortgage offer via phonecall
12/2/21- valuation done
17/2/21 - mortgate offer letter via email0 -
Hi everyone due to complete on Friday and my solicitor have noticed that Kent have done mortgage offer with freehold instead of leasehold. They are saying they will amend it and release the money but I’m sat worrying. Has this happened to anyone? Stressed out to the max.Thanks0

I should be happy at this progress after so many months (sale agreed 6th March!) but I'm kind of just drained by this all! I think because I haven't told my old broker he is still fired (I couldn't, I'm a mush)....
Help!
But yes it sounds like you need to just tell your broker you've decided to move on. At the end of the day, it's a business / client relationship so you don't need to feel bad. Just be honest and say the whole process has really drained you and you're taking a break and going elsewhere.
Also well done on your KR AIP - welcome to the club haha. We're all very friendly here. I've been watching people come on to this thread with lots of worries, and get their offers and be very happy. All while I still wait for mineKR seem to generally be very good - just a bit picky (as you'd expect for an off-high st lender) and slowwww. But then so is every bank atm I think. Sometimes I dip into the Nationwide thread and that's just painful to read!
EWS1 was a B1, due to timber decking on balconies (like so many)! I know others including nicole (I think) have also had issues getting mortgages after B1 but managed to... We'll see!thanks a lot for your encouraging words and best of luck!!
Slow is okay, when the result is almost unanimously good with KR...!0 -

Slow is okay, when the result is almost unanimously good with KR...!The re-issued one, which KR did accept was signed by someone else, with these qualifications: BSc(Fire) MSc(Fire) CEng MIFireE MEI.
Hope that helps!
