  • Hi
Has anyone else had problems with proof of address for Kent Reliance?  I've submitted a joint application together with my daughter and they have requested proof of address for her for 2018 when she was living elsewhere.  She was 18 at the time and living with her parent, not working and only had her bank account in her name (which they already have).  They also want a current proof of address in last 3 months but again, she has no utilities in her name, no credit cards, just her bank account and car finance and insurance (which isn't in the last 3 months).  I finding it all a bit odd as they haven't asked for 2018 proof of address from me and we both moved into our current address on the same day, nor are they asking for any details about my business as I'm self employed

@Longshot101 our searches only took about 3 weeks on total but we are in Leeds. Different all over the country by the sounds of it
  • Has anyone had searches complete yet? Or close to being complete? My solicitor is quoting 8-12 weeks at the moment, which I think is a bit long considering I got my mortgage offer over a month ago....
I think it varies, we instructed our solicitors 3 weeks into our mortgage application, we got our offer after 5 weeks from when we applied and all our searches came back within a week. I think it really does vary what part of the UK you’re in. Fingers crossed it doesn’t take too long for you, I know how frustrating it can be

Sounds like they're trying to establish some sort of credit history for your daughter.

Our MA chased our offer yesterday.. our under writer is on annual leave and looks like he hadn't passed to the offer queue before he left last week 🤦‍♀️ he has escalated this to a manager to deal with
  • @csumm4 Were supposedly in the final assessment queue! I don't even know what that means! are we close to an offer?!

@Nic88Nac we were told by the under writer on Friday last week that he was happy with the last document and we would be put in the offer queue which is 1 to 2 working days, chased yesterday, under writer now on leave and he hadn't put it through to offer queue 😡. It was escalated to a Manager to be updated today, I noticed on my online banking yesterday KR have taken the application fee from my card so hoping that's a good sign and they are actually doing something. Just waiting to hear from my MA as to what the update actually is
