Seems a lot are waiting for update on Monday? Xxx

Hey i wouldn't worry as we sent additional docs on 15th October, bank statements, and only had a response from the lender yesterday querying some transactions. We did have a valuation done in between though so I don't know if that's what took so long but it seems like reviewing additional documents does take a little longer than the 6 working days they have on their website. Hang in there

FINALLY got our offer Today after a long wait. We submitted our app on the 2nd sept.

have you had a lot of going back and fourth? X

Over the moon is an understatement. Celebrating Infront of the TV locked down lol! I’m sure we’ve had the most back and forth that Kent have ever had , literally. Partly because of our broker and the seller making silly mistakes on documents, Kent also asking very irrelevant questions about some things what they have already had the answer to. It’s been a nightmare but don’t be put off, it’s not down to Kent themselves, it’s down to people we’ve hired... aka the broker !

Oh geez, you really sound like you’ve earned that celebration!! Crack open a bottle of champers and toast to your new home, it’s very exciting for you now!! I was just thinking oh gosh we’re a month behind you in terms of application don’t think my nerves can take another month of waiting!! This time they asked us questions and the broker already had the answers!! It’s a pain wish I could do the job lol!! 

Anyway, I’m so happy for you!! Have you got a move in date planned? 😆😆

It has been very stressful . To be fair I think what iv learnt off this forum is literally every case is different, some people get sorted very quickly, and some people just have bad luck and it takes longer, It doesn’t mean that there’s a right and a wrong way, just how it is I think. We were lucky we submitted early when Kent’s waiting times were 2 days, now they’re at 6+ . 

What stage are you up to? 

We are pushing the solicitor for a date now, we were told the process approx takes 4 weeks from solicitors receiving contracts (which was last week) so theoretically we’re 1.5 weeks in, the sooner the better, would like to just be in for Christmas, anything sooner is a bonus! We’ve just had a quote for carpets , these are the things you don’t think about when looking at new builds lol!
