I definitely don’t think you are overreacting at all. I didn’t realise none of my statements had been checked as there is an admin before the broker so thought one of them would have checked if I had known I would have swapped brokers and not put in an application. I need my mortgage offer asap due to the chain so unfortunately stuck with who I’ve gone with and due to additional costs for another broker I’ve seen it’s just no doable at the momentSuseOrm said:Kent go through them i mean0 -
Thank you! I know it’s so stressful and I won’t say try not to stress because no matter who says that you just do. But honestly remember there’s nothing you can do but just pray they accept you! I’m unsure about that I had another savings with 5k in they didn’t ask to see that because I had my deposit else where! Good luck, hopefully you will fly through 👍🏼🤞🏼Rc0105 said:
My broker keeps saying they will need to see my additional savings and I haven’t saved enough since my last application went in! That’s great news for you 😊our new mortgage application goes in today so im keeping all my fingers crossed it’s just been so stressful!lc2022 said:
Not sure, they may do if they can see it in your current statements, if they can’t see it, they won’t even know about it. Good luck 🤞🏼 very stressful but worth it! We are exchanging today and completing next week, so it seems so long but once you get there it is a fast process! 😃Rc0105 said:0 -

Are there any common themes of things that have been flagged on bank statements that people should look out for I’m just thinking like if we could compile a list of what to be concerned about ?0

Don’t panic too much, honestly I know it’s hard because I did and I had stuff that I thought would make me get rejected.for example, my partner had sent me money using a rude reference quite a few times, I stressed to my broker how worried I was, but it was fine. All they really want to check is your not a fraudster and you have money going in each month to pay the mortgage 😀 you will be fine! Thank you, youre right it is so stressy, I think it’s just made worse by the fact that I’m living in an absolute dump that I’m paying double the rent that I would be paying our mortgage for and I’m so desperate to get this house to get out of here. I think I might turn to alcohol to get me through 🤣lc2022 said:

Lol. It is the most stressful thing I’ve ever done, but if you have a good broker, you will be fine! Just keep your mind occupied! It’s hard I know, lol I cried lots and had lots of hissy fits, but here we are waiting for confirmation of exchange today! Luckily I didn’t have the stress of living somewhere else, straight from my parents, so I can’t comment on that but sounds pretty crap. Will keep my fingers crossed for you.SuseOrm said:

Well I’ve had word back that I should hear back from the underwriters within 5 days so the next few days are going to be awful whilst I wait0

I think this is the problem I’ve literally no confidence in brokers I know there are good ones out there for we got declined for a mortgage last year because one broker keyed in that I had one child and my child benefit showed that I had to and then tried to blame me for telling them that I only had one child as if I would forget that I had to I mean really. Just absolutely no responsibility or accountability if they get anything wrong. I think that’s just how the world is now though.lc2022 said:
