I have read all 112 pages and congratulations to everyone that has secured their mortgage even after some long waits.
I put my application in on 13/01/2022 after they requested a current bank statement.
Valuation requested but no date yet. My property is still being built so I’m not sure how it works with that.
ive been on a mortgage hunt for a few weeks now after initially going with Kensington but their borrowing amount was too low for what I needed. Need £118k they were offering just under £70k. My salary is £40k with about £8k in bank work pa (I am a nurse)
I have some adverse credit (2 settled defaults 2017&2018) 2 late payments from PayPal credit I didn’t realise I had taken quickly resolved. Nothing else.
I have been told turn around time is 3 days. But going through this thread I think my broker has high hopes for a quick offer.
I’m going for a shared ownership property which I have reserved and I have been told exchange is early Feb!I haven’t instructed solicitors because things have looked so dim during this process, broker made a lot of promises and basically said nothing to worry about everything will be easy and straight forward, go for it!
not as easy as said!It is a long process, I applied for the property beginning of December, got everything back from housing & the mortgage was applied for beginning of January. It’s the most stressful thing ever, but it’s finally looking up. Hopefully the same with you, if you want to try another mortgage broker I’m happy to provide details of ours 🥳
I believe I meet the criteria for KR and incase anything goes wrong with that I have a back up broker who is quite active and putting another application in with a lender.
Im definitely not taking any chances and will be exhausting my options. I personally don’t see why KR won’t accept.
They have tried to book a valuation but weren’t able to speak with HA due to someone being on leave I’ve since chased this up and got the HA to sort it.1 -
Thanks! I’ve heard my valuation is booked for Wednesday, no idea how long after that to offer though!Let me know how you get on too!0

How long was it from your valuation to mortgage offer out of curiosity? And did they ask anything else?0

We have had to reapply for mortgage with Kent as OH had gambling on his statements and both have a little bit of debt, do they turn down people often for a second time after new statements have been submitted?0

Our house has been pushed back from March to June so and our offer expires in April. Has anyone got an extension before and is it an easy process? What do we need to provide and how long was the extension for. Thanks0

There was quite a fair bit around £400 but was a low proportion in comparison to monthly wage/outgoings0

I only spent £10-20 per week but stopped a few months ago and that was frowned up even national lottery is a no go with them1
