It is vital you establish who the landowner is and indeed the signed contract with them.

If you're just at the POPLA stage, court (if it was ever to get there) is many months away.   But if you want to do some contingency planning, everything court-related is contained in the NEWBIES FAQ sticky, second post.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Do you mean you lost at POPLA or are in the middle of POPLA?

This can be won simply by pointing out the landowner authority is likely to be in the wrong name.   A clear and worked example of this is shown in POPLA Decisions, a sticky thread.  Just search it for the words Britannia Services.

POPLA really said that ????  OH WOW, they are more daft than we thought ?

Forget POPLA ..... USELESS BUNCH .......  The crunch comes when the daft legal, no doubt BWLegal starts adding fake amounts. That's when ABUSE OF PROCESS comes into play

As is being said to you, you MUST discover the contract between Britannia and the landowner
