Oh wow!! How exciting! Just read your diary. You are doing an amazing job by yourself and I think your grandparents would be very proud! X3

That is an exciting post indeed @Frith and your grandparents most certainly would be delighted at how well you have used your share. Hope you and your boys are all doing well and the chickens too. Indi3

I know I’ve got to keep on with this. No overpayments (apart from the obvious!) this month as I added everything I had to maximise what I paid off.
Hens are still in the greenhouse and might be there until April, depending how the avian flu goes.
Son2 hasn’t been to college for 2 weeks due to anxiety, but isn’t doing anything at home really either... I’m hoping he goes back next week, even if it’s only for a day or two.
His tribunal is next month. His solicitor is either extremely prompt and thorough with beautifully written stuff emailed to me or disappears off the face of the earth. Since December, it has been the latter.
And I’ve lost 13 lbs so far this year. Just over 2 stones to go - I had never weighed so much (or even close!)4 -
£491.37 paid today (it’s a strange number but I wanted to round it up, then have to times it by 1.03 to include the overpayment charge).
Mortgage - £7,500

Thank you, @FtbDreaming
Hopefully, though now the pressure is off I might buy other things that we’ve needed for ages! This month I’ve finally bought the 2nd extra long mattress for the extra long bunk beds. Son1 had his replaced first, as he was tallest, but son2 overtook him and is now at least 6 foot 3 so his mattress is arriving today. The bunk beds were bought about 4 years ago so he’s been making do with a mattress extension made of pillows stuffed down the gap.
And a new pair of wellies is on its way for me.6 -

Isn’t it cold?!
Not too much to report. Son 1 will be (sort of) moving out to start his apprenticeship on Monday.
Son 2 still hasn’t gone back to college but the professional reports are in so he should be getting a nice new EHCP shortly. In one report he was working at the 2nd centile (i.e in the bottom 2% for his age) which was a bit of a shock.
Still no news on the Green Grant so the wood burning stove is on full blast.
I’ve lost 19lbs so far this year. It’s surprising how little difference this has made...3
