What a strange year!
On a positive note, my parents are having their first vaccinations this Saturday. My younger son is now at a SEND college - something I thought would never happen after a 2 year battle during which he was at home. I’ve got the tribunal against County in February. My older son had to return from his job in France, was furloughed then made redundant but starts a new apprenticeship in the same field at the end of January.
For 2021, I’m hoping my older son enjoys his apprenticeship and moving out (again!) and that my younger son continues to go to college and gets some qualifications. I’ve also got to teach him to drive...
I will be overpaying the 10% for 2021 as soon as I can after midnight!
Happy New Year to all readers and to everyone who has commented this year.6 -
Come on, Santander! Update my annual 10% - it’s past midnight!6

Slow going! I am doing a few Prolific surveys.2 -
A rather exciting post today. My grandparents’ house was rented out for about 10 years by my dad and his sister. (My grandparents passed away aged 91 and 92). My dad received his 50% share and has split it four ways, with a share for him, me and my siblings.
Grandma and Grandad came from ordinary beginnings and worked constantly, in the police, social work and also doing piece work at home. They were very interested in finances, stocks and shares, topping up their ISAs but always lived very carefully. I think they would be quite chuffed that the money I’ve been given has gone to pay a hefty chunk off my mortgage.
