    £1100 for flat roof repairs.

The proper tiled roof is now leaking into the bathroom. Have asked 2 companies for quotes for that.

Have applied for 2 jobs and one voluntary job.

Electrical work finished! 2 1960 bakelite fuseboards changed, 4 sockets replaced, 5 wall lights and a live wire nailed to a floor (!) removed.

    Need to save again now.

Great news that the electric work is finished Frith. Eeeek to the live wire nailed to the floor 😳 glad that is sorted.

Sorry to hear your job is still poor

I've had an afternoon of looking at finances.

Plenty of credit with Eon and British Gas. Chopped £6 a month off Eon with a 24 month fix at £81 per month. Gas is only £6 a month at the moment.

Finally got round to taking my ex's name off the water bills. They had to close the account and open a new one (no idea why) so some credit should be paid to me shortly. Lay on the pavement to give them a meter reading!

Left my job a while back so have phoned the district council today and should be refunded some council tax in 10 days.

    Ebay owes me £40.

    Quidco owes me £20 something.

Changed bank again to Coop so hopefully should get £125 shortly then 3 x £25 over 3 months.

All this money should just about pay to have the living room floor tiled. (Plastic adhesive squares on concrete at the moment). Nearly been here 3 years and this will be the last downstairs room to be done.

Living on UC and carer's allowance now. I didn't get an interview for the job I applied for last week. Manager 12 (or 13) in 2 years shouted at me and wagged her finger in my face for sitting down and looked very surprised when I quietly walked out and drove off!

    Bank £3030

    Stocks c£85

Well done on walking out Frith! Hope it hasn’t been too hard financially. Looks like you’re back on your feet now. Can you do them for unfair dismissal? Shame on them.

3 years in your new place… where has the time gone!

Will need to save hard shortly.

Tiles bought and delivered. (In the sale at Topps Tiles). Just got to pay the guy when he fits them.

And... the MOT on my car expires in September so I am looking for a replacement. Mine is 23.

Why do you need to replace a 3 year old car?
