    £1100 for flat roof repairs.

The proper tiled roof is now leaking into the bathroom. Have asked 2 companies for quotes for that.

Have applied for 2 jobs and one voluntary job.

£3922 in the bank but £1000 will have to come out of that for repairs to the main roof, completed a couple of weeks back.

£1000 saved secretly for son 1s wedding.

At some point I will have to save for a newer car. Mine is now 22 and very tired.

I had £15 invested on Trading 212 and have made £100, so that's nice.

The only necessary house thing is to have some electrical repairs done (nothing has worked in the extension in the nearly 3 years we have lived here). The quote for everything, including the new consumer unit, was £1500.

    My job is still poor.

Little else to report! I have cracked on with the gardening, removing the front lawn and planting wildflower seeds and widening the borders in the back garden.

Electrical work finished! 2 1960 bakelite fuseboards changed, 4 sockets replaced, 5 wall lights and a live wire nailed to a floor (!) removed.

    Need to save again now.

Great news that the electric work is finished Frith. Eeeek to the live wire nailed to the floor 😳 glad that is sorted.

Sorry to hear your job is still poor
