My mortgage clobbering post

Turns out you can't buy Eurostar tickets without a passport (which makes sense) so passport renewal is underway.
As we missed the Eurostar sale, we might get a ferry instead and go to see son2's friend in Denmark then go to Sweden and take a ferry to see Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania then a couple of German Christmas markets.
Not much has happened though I did buy a lawnmower off FB and had a good weed of all the borders and a general tidy up outside.
I still feel very bleak and tired.

Positive things!
My passport has arrived. Still waiting for son's driving licence to come back so we can get his passport.
Got a free English Heritage day pass today. (MSE)
My older son has visited for his birthday.
Quidco has paid me £34.3 -
£74 transferred from Quidco today.
Son 2s driving licence came back so we are doing a hair/beard minimisation programme today before I take a photo of him for his passport photo. Will apply for the passport tonight.
I have a new manager, my 7th in a year. Torn between looking for jobs or waiting until I've been on holiday (November).
Swapping my bank again! Hopefully I'll get £175 from Nationwide.
£4030 balance.2 -
Quidco money transferred today, not in my previous update, as I had to change my bank account details.
Awaiting £175 from Nationwide.
Balance is 4130.69.
But not for long! Son2s passport is in the post to him (finally) and we can start booking ferries
I'm on manager number 9. I didn't meet the last one.3 -
Good numbers

What is it with the manager churn ... ?? That sounds quite odd ... 😖🤔

£3795 in the bank. Very pleased with that, after 8 days travelling! One or two more household bills to go out for November.
I've had a fortnight off work. Going back tomorrow and I know the absolute priority in 2026 must be to find something new.
On a more cheery note, the other priority will be to make the garden nice.
Have changed bank account again (6th time this year?) so I'm looking forward to a golden hello from Santander.
The flat roof is leaking above the kitchen window so I must get that fixed.
3 stocking fillers bought, one present and the traditional Christmas Eve pyjamas bought in the 20% sale plus my colleague discount. When I started the tradition, I didn't imagine i would still be buying pyjamas when my children would be 6 feet 0 and 6 feet 4 !
I've accumulated enough stamps to get a free breakfast in my favourite cafe so I'm looking forward to that.
Downloaded Trading212. My older son signed me up years ago and I invested my free money (for joining) into Nvidia. That has increased in value x 5. I've invested a few pounds here and there as I don't really understand stocks and shares.
