It took me weeks to get the online banking working! 😁
A short relationship seems to mean a quick recovery, so that's nice.
I've cleaned the house, done paperwork and put up a picture.
Went to the coffee morning, to a party on Saturday, art class yesterday and to see my friend for a cup of tea today. And the 4 tough days at work in the middle of all that!
Cashback from Quidco has tracked. Still need the golden hello from TSB and to do my car insurance shortly. Also have free cinema vouchers left from my short time with Lloyds and 2 free passes to the National Trust, cut out of the newspapers.
Also, randomly, I've been playing Snoop Dogg on the piano.
Balance £2100

Nearly 2 years since I moved here!
Just this evening negotiated my car insurance. £19.96 a month with £45 cashback.
Also negotiated with Virgin Media for ages to get £12 a month knocked off. They know they have the monopoly here on sensible internet speeds!
Still got one National Trust day pass to use up.
Balance will be about £3000 tomorrow.1 -

I don't qualify as I don't get universal credit.
Also, we do a lot of gaming and use internet TV etc so we go for a high speed.
We did use the BT social tariff in the old house, where they were the only supplier and the internet speed was awful anyway!3 -
£65 voucher arrived that came with my mobile phone contract. (£8 a month, thanks to MSE). Also had a £25 voucher for my birthday so I have ordered a new phone. I've had my phone 4-5 years and it was second hand then so now it will only support 3 apps! Annoying if you want to go geocaching/use any store online card/use a parking app. It'll cost me £5 plus vouchers then I'll sell the one I'm typing on now, even if I get £10.
£100 golden hello arrived from TSB today. Allegedly you get a hotel voucher in a few months so I'm torn between waiting for that or taking advantage of the introductory offer with Barclays (I think).
I've been doing some batch cooking again.
Smaller son had a nice birthday, ending in a barbecue.
Still have free cinema vouchers and a free NT day pass to use.
The car is booked in for an MOT and new ABS sensor. Maybe it will reach 23.
The cat is still going! Maybe she will reach 20.
Balance £25113 -
Son2 has had his £175 golden hello from Barclays so mine should arrive in the next few days.
The car had its MOT yesterday and needed 3 new tyres, so it could have been much worse. A total cost of £195. Son 1 is going to whizz it down the M5 on Saturday to make the engine warning light go out. (It went on the computer but is just furred up from doing so many low mileage, slow speed journeys).
Still in the same job...
The cat is still going.
We're planning a holiday around 2 away matches (Saturday and Tuesday) that our football team will play in the northwest.
Balance £3016 but all bills about to come out.

Just a down day. I thought I would see what happened if I stopped messaging people first. I stopped shortly after my birthday, at the end of June. Turns out there are 3 people who will message me, and 2 of those are my siblings.
Not sure how to proceed. Shall I start texting again??
Work is horrible. And when it's not horrible, it is boring. I've applied for 3 jobs (1 competitive, 2 very ordinary) and not had an interview or even an acknowledgement from any of them.
I've got terrible sinusitis/dizzy and the next doctor's appointment is 25th September. I left a message, as they've always been good at replying with advice, but nothing. So I've finally changed surgery, after moving house 2 years ago! I haven't been to the doctors since 2010.
I know I need to get stuck in to some house or garden projects or some new volunteering.
I'd like to go on a holiday around Europe by train but son2 is hesitant.
Balance of £3457
But the council tax needs to come out of that plus the cost of a new ABS sensor on Monday. This is the highest balance I've had in my life.
I'd like to save £1000+ for when my son gets married (probably next year).2 -
Back to school for everyone else means back to Monday morning art classes for me! Subsidised (due to living in an impoverished post code area) so £5 per week.
Still got coffee morning on Fridays so hopefully I'll feel better with a routine back.
Car going OK. The garage didn't do the sensor as it isn't worth the money.
Sinusitis is back to normal levels. Just need to take ID to new surgery.
Work is poor 😃
Just about to book half price Eurostar for a European adventure at the end of November....
Balance of £38232 -
