Used the eBay payments to round up the savings accounts.

    Mortgage - £35,877
    Mortgage interest - £52.02
    Savings - £100
    ISA - £75
    Lloyds - £300

Found I am not eligible for the UC savings account (as obviously looking after my son single handedly at home since Jan 2019 isn’t considered work...)
Got to find out if I’m eligible for the budgeting loan.
  • Hiya I try to leave Pr0lific open on my laptop (preferably on a 2nd screen while I work) then I have the best chance of pouncing when a survey comes up. Some of them are only up for what seems like seconds!

Thanks, Hazelnutty - I’ve yet to actually do a survey for them!

Right, I’ve now completed a survey for Prolific and 15p is pending!

    A disastrous week.

Son 1 spent Tuesday night/Wednesday morning in A and E and considerable time from Wednesday lunchtime either in the dentists or on the phone to them. He fell off his bike - 8 stitches in his chin, everything scraped, 2 big front teeth snapped off.
  • Oh no, Frith, that sounds like a really nasty spill. How's he doing now?

The nose and chin are surprisingly pain free. His jaw aches. One tooth (2mm left) had the nerve removed on Wednesday and is pain free. The other tooth (5mm left) is agony! He’s on maximum painkillers and a sort of numbing mouthwash and still sometimes has to lie down as it’s so nasty.
Back to the dentist on Wednesday...
Thank you for asking after him.

In better news, on Wednesday afternoon, looking awful and just getting over concussion, he passed his driving theory test!

I still haven’t replaced my car but my younger son’s driving licence hasn’t arrived (been waiting months) so he’s not missing out.

Needless to say, no special school place organised yet. Honestly, I’d be embarrassed to be so incompetent.

    No driving licence.

No school place (the Panorama programme on SEND education tonight described the terrible system very clearly).

No front teeth! But much less pain.

I did manage to sell 3 x 6 eggs today (£3.60) and a £20 Quidco payment is waiting for me. One last EBay sale of £5.

Will phone about 2 cheap and cheerful cars tomorrow...

    Well!

The dentist can’t do exactly what she wants due to Coronavirus. Eventually, one tooth will be extracted and one tooth crowned, with a bridge to replace the missing tooth. 2 dentists did what they could today and he now has front teeth! Very temporary, quite short in length, but they match and my son is really pleased.

We have an appointment to look round a special school on Monday!!

We didn’t like the car we looked at yesterday but (drum roll) son 2’s driving licence finally arrived today so we shall look in earnest tomorrow.

Not much happening financially. I’m waiting to hear about Universal Credit at the end of the month. I’ve done quite a few Prolific and Yougov surveys.
