Ooh sounds intriguing Jazee.
had time in the garden with the kids playing pop quiz (DS plays a song name title & artist. Amazing how many Beatles songs seem to start with the title !) and drinking cocktails.
Got all yesterday's washing ironed which is good as I've 3 more loads to dry.
also WUALTD before I came up so not going down to a mess.
as it happened we ended up with blue skies and warmth.
still in bed though. Have good days all.
Round re forints. Google for a local charity which will take them. I think Oxfam do.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

roundtuit - I thought I was the only one to keep lifting the lid to look at my sparkling white toilet. We are easily pleased. I have very hard water here and my downstairs toilet was always discoloured. I could get it clean by emptying the toilet and soaking in white vinegar and coke (17p in Aldi) but it was such a faff. However, someone on one of these threads advised to use citric acid. I can’t remember who it was but I’m sure I thanked them. One dessert spoon in the bowl overnight for a few days did the trick. As it happened I had 500g of the stuff, out of date, in my winemaking cupboard. I have to wonder though, if it can do that to my toilet what does it do to my insides?10

Round anxiety can cause all sorts of weird symptoms, I have had problems with my vision before. Laughing at you smiling at your shiny loo
Jazee keep us posted, I am excited for you, wish something was happening in my life.
Went out yesterday. Felt really flat on Friday so DH suggested we went to a big garden centre near the coast and bought plants for phase 2 of our garden project. The garden centre was really well organised with one way systems and restricted numbers. We spent £120 on plants which is all budgeted for, then drove to the coast and sat on a bench and drank coffee from our flask looking at the sea.
Now all the plants (and more that DH has grown from seed) need planting. We made a start when we got back. I am not a gardener really, DH has a lot of knowledge and I always seem to feel a bit useless. Its a nice day though.
First I want to check my finance spreadsheets and I should really submit some pieces of course work that I have nearly ready.
Happy Sunday everyone x11 -
Not WU yet but the rest of Round 1 is done + I've splashed bleach down the loo, splashed H'pic in the basin - let's see if it works on the stubborn limescale in there too....there's just one small patch which won't shift with vinegar. Fingers crossed x. Oh and second WM load is swishing. So I'm supping my second brew, then I'll WU.
I'm intrigued too Jazee xx
Thank you Valli xx I have to go into town tomorrow to bank my tax refund cheque and to fill up with petrol, so I'll look and see if the Oxfam shop is open.
I have piles of stuff to go to cs - and there's still a lot more to sort, but I'll wait a little longer and see how the land lies before I take anything as I expect they'll be inundated when they open.
Have a nice day,
Rxx

Good morning!
I was MIA yesterday. I managed to 2 WM loads & dry on the line, WULTD the pots and put on the DW. Also S&S the kitchen. My mum came to visit 🥰 It is official! I am the favourite child as she chose us for her bubble! 😂😂 It has nothing to do with the other 2 being hours away of course 😉 We spent time in the garden, and then a few hours at the allotment. She pottered, and I could bounce ideas off her. It was good 😊 I also managed to plant my tomatoes and some beans.
Then it was back home & then a food shop. I was chosen for a random check for the self scan thingamy, but it only involves scanning 14 items, so not too bad (as it is already packed when you pay!). The lady kept apologising 😂
DH had dinner on when I got home. The kitchen was a mess when I went to bed, but hopefully it is all washed up now!
Today I plan to cook roast beef (a request from DS), spend some hours at the allotment, wash the bedding, and I must munch a frog in the shape of a report for the SEN at the council. But first I will get up & dressed, and have a leisurely continental breakfast in the sunshine 😁🥐🌞
Have a good day everyone!11 -
Morning all
I didn’t post again yesterday but I did fly! Lists all caught up on, at least levels 1 & 2 in every room, I lost track of what I had done by the afternoon! We had some thunder and heavy showers here last night, but it’s bright and warm already today, I’m showered and dressed, my dailies are done. I’m just about to put some chicken and veggies etc in to the slow cooker, I think that will be supper for another night though as it’s a bit warm today. Baked fish and salad tonight I think...
DH has plans to do some more in the garden and we will want to get out for a walk at some stage, I think though that the majority of the day will be read a book Sunday.
Have a good one all xx9 -

Morning all,
I'm still in bed 😉 I did get up earlier to feed the children and dog, then came back up with a brew. Will strip the bed shortly and have my shower. The dog needs a big walk too. Other than that we will just potter, I did think about us going out for the day but as DS has his first full week at school ahead this week since March, I think a gentler day would be better.Happy Sunday all xx9 -
Kitchen sink is shiny, we walked and bathed the dogs, I've shortened some trousers and think today is continue knitting my top day.Spend less now, work less later.10

missy - you are not alone
- sunglasses needed to look at the shiny whiteness. Hard water here too,
YL - now it's funny you should say that as I was having all sorts of problems with my vision yesterday - and, now I think about it, it's fine today. Just shutting alternate eyes to check. Yep - fine today
No sun here today. Cloud, cloud, cloud. No rain forecast though so I've pegged out the second load too. There's a light breeze so I'm hoping it will dry.
WUDUPA bowl of pots is now ticked off, and bowl has been reloaded - but I'm having a coffee first.
All this liquid - anyone would think I'm making sure I need to go up and use the loo - oh look, all shiny
