Yoohoo ladies! I'm here, but not flying this week as we have building work going on outside and I'm sulking as I've been told to self isolate. A customer of mine who works in a hospital has tested positive and was here two days running to drop off and collect her dog. She has no symptoms and says she feels fine, but is very embarrassed about having been here and into work, poor thing. Track and trace has kicked in and so I'm stuck inside for the next fortnight....grrr....
Sorry to hear you're feeling poorly Piggers and hoping Natty & Dave are starting to get over this awful virus too.
I'm sure I must have done some flying, but I can't remember what exactly. Or at all.10 -

Well, today disappeared quickly! It has been raining steadily all day.
I have done some bits off the official list, plus I have swept & mopped the DR, utility & kitchen. These are jobs I always put off, so quite pleased with myself 😁 I also have done WM x1, disposed of some small boxes in the recycling just before it was collected, put some larger boxes & a bag for the CS in the SH for now - apparently the CS are opening on Monday 😁
Admin wise I have sent an email to the council returning their spreadsheet (which contained my name, a single digit number and an answer from a drop down box - we needed a spreadsheet for that?!? 🤦♀️) and spoken to the travel agent re our running trip to DLP. The event has been cancelled. Apparently we can rebook for next year at no extra cost or cancel to get a full refund, including eurostar. We were looking forward to it, but I am glad they have cancelled as we don't have to make that decision now.
Bedtime now! Night night everyone 😊8 -
Went for cycle.
Caught up emails.
1 load through DW.
Spent afternoon constructing a cage to put round the broccoli, kale and peas after I found the nibbling culprits in action - 2 large pigeons. Did lots of weeding.
Walked friend's dog.
Various other miscellaneous admin tasks.
For anyone else waiting for a refund from Sleazyjet take heart; ours arrived yesterday - was due to fly 1st May.
Need to go round with the de-webbing feather duster tomorrow; most rooms are ok apart from webs. Mr N's grand clean of bedroom and en suite covered 2 days but was very thorough, I think I'll stick to slothdom and let him get on with it.
Wondering how I will broach the question to the vicar about now private prayer is allowed, does that mean I can resume drumming practice in the chapel? Don't want to cause offence as I do actually pray while I'm in there.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.9 -
GI.. be careful with holiday rebooking.. in some instances if you rebook your travel insurance is not valid and it may make more sense to get a refund and then rebook which will make it a new and valid! insurance policy.
Load of washing hung up indoors. and another load washed.
I discovered today my bathroom sink has a whopping crack in it so it is that leaking not the nice and cheap to fix pipes... blooming wonderful!! So I now need to buy a new sink.. joy! It is never ending! At least my paint was free!
I am coughing a bit less today which is very nice.. as is OH .. Twinkle woke up coughing after her 2.5 hour nap!
Poop trays all cleaned and sparkled.
All gibble shovelled in the front room and everyone else bossed to clear it.. not one item was mine... not 1!! I will vacuum tomorrow if I can cope with that.
I am just sewing up Miss Squizz's cardigan.. I will drop that off next time we are flying about.

Morning all,
We are up, dressed and breakfasted. Will be taking DS to school shortly, calling at the chemist on the way. Will walk the dog at the same time as well. The WM is on, and will need to go over the airer. Have some work to do, but did absolutely loads yesterday and consequently was grumpy later on so will try and do less today.Nothing exciting to report, it is raining which is good for the plants and lawn. Have lovely days all xx7 -
Morning xx
Work has gone from bored and not much to do to manic and phone never stops ringing without anything in between. I must admit I prefer manic, but maybe slightly less manic than this week has been so far. Still the days now fly by. But it's mentally draining so I''ve come home and flumped both nights. It's cured the WAC though - slept through til 5.15 both mornings. Believe me that is soooo much better than 4.15 lol
After a couple of days of 'no idea' my car was named on the way home last night - isn't it funny how something just pops into your head and fits? I knew the car was male - which is odd as they are usually female in my experience.,,, but, anyway, Feargal is now sat on the drive and will no doubt be shortened to Ferg unless he misbehaves.
Weekend Willi will be pressed into action at the weekend. Make my bed, feed the birds and put out the recycling being the sum total of flying each day. Oh and the garden waste bin has just been emptied for the first time in weeks.
Take care.

Glad to hear you're feeling better today, pigpen.
Anyone heard from Natty or LameWolf recently?
Nice name for a car, round. Mine is Kermit (green)
Our garden waste bin was emptied yesterday also, without us or any of our neighbours in this little cul-de-sac having to chase after the bin lorry shouting "You've missed us again!"I have already begun to refill it.
A bad start to the day when I joined the WAC at 4.00 after only 4 hours' sleep, but I had a cuppa, read a bit and then went back to sleep until just before 6.00. However, I woke up in a panic about editing a video that has to be ready for Sunday afternoon: couldn't remember the name of the program that we used for the ghastly assignment in my training course 2 years ago. Computer files searched; nothing relevant found . Tried to send a "Heeeeeeeeeeeeelp!" message to some friends who were on the same course; thought I had lost the whole of my contacts address list -> -> -> some minutes of panic until I managed to get back to the correct screen in my emails: I'd only lost one small group contact list which I have re-created. Email sent. Computer files searched again; one relevant but incomplete PowerPoint found in the archives - but it gave me the name of the editing program, so - once I've gone through the tutorials again - I can begin work.
After breakfast, I decided to ring the GP surgery re my shoulder which is not improving. Delighted to discover that I was only 5th in the queue for an appointment - normally at that time I'd be 25th or even further back! When I told the clerk why I needed to speak to a Dr she offered me a physio instead, which cuts out the delay for a Dr to refer me, and - even better - I have a phone consultation with the in-house physio tomorrow at 9.00!
My plan for today:
- S&S kitchen
- shower and dress
- S&S bathroom
- check whether I need to do WMx1 - it might rain this morning but is due to be dry this afternoon, and there's a good wind
- plan storyboard and start making video clips
- re-heat leftovers for lunch
- Rosie's walk
- raid the fridge for tea (probably veg curry)
- collapse in a heap in front of the TV this evening

I need to FLY today, after 2 days of nothing. Tuesday I went and met my DD1 for her birthday and had a lovely day, lunch, a bit of shopping and the supermarket for her. Then I taught my conversation group. Wednesday was the first group of kids back in for 3 hours, which went well. Unfortunately one of my colleagues who was due to run the 3 hour teen session in the afternoon cut her hand badly and so I found myself muddling through a teen session. It went ok but the result was I was exhausted when I got home. I find wearing a mask for most of the day really tiring.
Bed made, clothes picked up
Banking and finances updated
DW on
Next is WM and recycling, plan dinner and go shopping, short on food here.8 -
I'm here...woohooo!!! Not sure where the days have actually gone but I actually felt like doing something this morning...lol
Dave is finishing his antibiotics, but now has a mouthful of ulcers...poor lamb!! He isn't feeling too bad now, still tired and dropping off to sleep at the drop of a hat and is only having the odd sweatsWe are getting daily phone calls from the Covid team - I'm getting to know them quite well..lol I'm wondering if it's because of Dave's health and that's why we are getting the calls as I've not known anyone else get them this regularly, or at all.. Unless it's a Kent thing..
I'm afraid I did find something out if it wasn't for this Covid Dave would have spent about a week in hospital, if not more.. Now that was scary to find out. Although in some ways at least he could stay at home more than being in hospital
I can't believe though it has taken him nearly 3 weeks to get over this, but it has left him with a bloody awful cough which is more annoying than normal. I knew he was ill as he never kicked up a fuss when everyone said he was to take the week off this week...normally he works through and did for two weeks before this. But then that could have been his undoing as me and his boss think, when I spoke to him.
Do you know I'm going to miss all the phone calls that we have had daily, the Covid team, Dave's boss, our Dr's and a Dr at the hospital.
Dave is due to have a week's holiday next week so we are going to gradually get him outdoors so that he can walk the dog again when he is feeling better and fitter.
Anyway I've been up since 7ish, and have done the following:
Cooked the mince ready for the shepherd's pie tonight
Peeled the potatoes ready to cook for the topping
Made a banana loaf
Written three letters to post later today
Walked the dog
Got the recycling bin in from out the front
Tidied up the back of the sofa
Quick dust around the living room
Put a dark wash load on
Fed the cats
Had porridge for breakfast
And drunk copious amounts of tea
Piggers please look after yourself, and try not to overdo it. This bloody virus is horrible and can do a lot of damage.
