Welcome Disdisbiff [waves]
I dealt with emails and then spent a large part of the morning planting out the French beans, hellebores, foxgloves and the last of the tomatoes, and transplanting the sunflower seedlings singly into larger pots (the forum police didn't like the gardening term that I used in my last post and replaced it with !!!!!) That finished off both me and my shoulder! The bulbs will have to wait for another day.
I decided to cook a proper meal at lunchtime and we'll have scrambled egg this evening, as I've got a Zoom meeting at 7.30 - the last one of my year-long course.
I had a few zzz after lunch, then fetched in the dry washing, FUPA, took Rosie for her walk and have watered the garden earlier than usual. Now off to have a shower and change into something more respectable than my gardening clothes, then I must grapple with setting up DH's separate webcam on my steam-powered PC.
Hope everyone has a pleasant evening.
Any news from Natty? I hope things are improving for Dave xx

Hi all
Been anxious and wobbly today, although on the outside I feel quite calm and settled. The powers of the human mind eh? 6 hours paid stuff done, yoga class, chicken pie made, visit to SIL (first time I have seen her since BILs funeral). Oh and I made some biscuits using a recipe I have never made before, didnt think the mix felt quite right but carried on and they were very crumbly. DH and DS1 said they were lovely, bless them. Two loads of washing done before it rains tomorrow.
Well done on the car Round.9 -
After my joking about this stupid cough being the plague which I absolutely didn't think it was.. it is.. haha.. no fever, no snots, no wibbly tummy innards (outer is still wibbly) no breathing issues other than pressure on my chest like I had a drink go down wrong way.. a 2 week headache and 12 days of coughing so far.. I have hayfever worse than this some days.. guessing that is what OH has been hacking up for nearly 4 weeks too.. joy! If I have to put up with 4 weeks of coughing I am hoping my lungs fall off.. and my leg can fall off too that is killing me again! Other than car trips to pick Moomin up from places I have no been outside for 2 weeks (until today) and have been out 6 times in total since March! This was therefore most likely picked up in either Petsathome (needed cat litter) or the Range (needed paint, kitten food and toiletries).
Anyway.. hallway decorating ground to a halt because the paint fumes were giving my lungs hell.. I am hoping to crawl back to the paintbrush in the next few days.. it depends on my hip.. I misjudged a step and fell backwards off said step into a door.. no one came to my rescue of course but I have been in agony since.
2 loads of washing done and out on the line.. just disinfecting the wet bedding from Twinkles nighttime accident.. it has been washed but was a bit honky when it came out.. I will hang that out shortly.
2x DW done
9 bottle of milk, 2 bags of sugar, 4 pies, a tin of soup, 2 tins of rice pudding,a box of stuffing mix and a box of teabags rehomed with various family members.. I had a huge excess so shared the love.
2 cardigans dropped at DD1's and a box of haribo
Fabians present dropped off with a box of haribo
My house MUST be getting emptier!!!

Evening, all.
I have cleaned the toilet, tried potting up some extra things from the garden, pinged snails over the back wall a few times, fed the birds about 100 times (the sparrows are beginning to look decidedly unaerodynamic) and washed the bedlinen.
Oh, and been rather relieved that not only did I receive a formal offer of renewing my contract for another academic year yesterday, I signed, scanned and returned the acceptance before the latest governmental edicts this afternoon.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll11 -
Work work done ironing (more since last post) and chatted to a bloke on Twitter with whom I would have been at school when our schools merged had we not moved away. So lots of naming of people, mainly girls, I knew and he knew. Small world. I only followed him because his twitter handle includes the name of a very small area of the town I lived in! Don't panic no personal details have been exchanged

Welcome Disdisbiff 👋
Round, congrats on the new 🚗Pigpen, healing vibes heading your way 😷
I haven’t managed anything on the lists but I have managed over 10k steps today which must be a first since lockdown! 🥳
I did WUDUPA, emptied the rubbish, did all the ironing & now the washing machine is on again so that I can put the washing out overnight & hopefully it will be dry in the morning!
Take care everyone 💜'Money and good health is coming easily to Flypeople'10 -
Mogs all fed..
Table cleared and DW loaded with bowl so the girls can get breakfast in the morning.
Oh how I hate coughing... I have just growled at myself...Cuppa and bed I think.. I bopped a cat with a pillow while 90% asleep last night.. he attacked my feet so I bopped him.. blooming thing.. Apparently he didnt care too much lol..I don't actually feel unwell at all.. but the coughing is really getting on my nerves. I hate a cough at the best of times and I greatly resent the lab which concocted this one.. poor bats getting the blame for everything..LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)9 -
