Morning all,
Woke with a headache some I have taken some parrots and having a cuppa, I've also had my shower. Today DD comes home 😍😍 cannot WAIT to see her. The washing is still over the airer from yesterday and not dry yet, i have popped the dehumidifier on again. Pouring with rain but I think today is the last day of it.Need to pop to the butchers and bakers (no candlestick maker 😂) before dropping DS a school. I am trying to get back into good habits with our waste and reject single use plastic where possible again - not easy.I hope everyone has a happy Friday, take care all xx9 -
Morning everyone! 😊
Not much flying done this week as first week back at work after my hols and it's been manic! 🙈 long hours to catch up and a banging headache for three days hasn't helped! However, I've kept up with the laundry and have done a s&s in the bathroom and kitchen each day, it doesn't look too bad 😉
Today I intend to spend an hour before work cleaning so will catch up! I've (hopefully) got workmen coming today to sort the fascias and guttering- they've had problems with their supplier so it depends on the stuff being in this morning....
Natty, I'm so glad things are improving! Pigpen, very impressed with the knitting!
Sparkly, hope the head improves!
Narc0, you can have our rain - it has barely stopped here for over a week now and my workmen are waiting to do my flat roof! 🙈

Horrid wet day here but so far
Up, bed made, clothes picked up
HHI
Bathroom tidied
Banking and finances checked
Messages sent and read about next week's work
Ideas for lesson plans noted down
It's so miserable I might even get down to sorting some admin out.9 -
Good morning!
Paid stuff again today. The dog has been walked, I have poo picked in the garden - something has been digging in the lawn grass. Friday money juggle done, and emails checked. I have also gone online and reduced my energy DD as apparently I was paying too much! I have opened the SH to play in, but it is very blowy outside, and the little fella has turned up in just a t-shirt (again!). I am encouraging him to play indoors, although the patio doors are open.
I need to empty the DW and the WM is full, although I won't put that on until later as I am using individual reusable wipes (like tiny flannels) to dry little hands after hand washing and putting them straight in the machine. I also need to get the mince out of the freezer for dinner, as I couldn't find it yesterday!
Have a good day everyone!

DD made a coffee cake last night and, as she had discovered the XXL pack of sponge fingers, made a tiramisu.
The reason I have an XXL pack of them is because they were on offer after Xmas and I was expecting to host Easter but that never happened.
I've loads to do today *overwhelmed*Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Morning all. Firstly thank you so much for your kind words. Dave had his final call from the Covid team about an hour ago so he's been discharged from them. He's been told if a certain symptom comes back to dial 999 with no hesitation but hopeful it won't (it's what they call rigours, where your body is shutting down) He has one last phonecall from the hospital Dr this afternoon then he'll officially be discharged from the emergency team. I'm so relieved but hate myself that I nearly killed him by not getting him treatment earlier.
Actually had a lay in until 9.00 this morning, something I've not done since Dave first got ill. Have done the following so far:
Made carrot soup, in the Instant Pot, for lunch.
Dark wash load, rewashed
Made some more envelopes for penpal letters
Tidied up the kitchen
Going to get dressed and then walk the dog. More housework after that.
I'm slowly getting there, as is Dave. His is more a physical thing mine is more of a mental thing. But thank you for all your support I'm just sorry I didn't let you all in instead of just 'being
Hugs to everyone xx

Dot just renamed 'lockdown'.. it is now 'corona holidays' ... she is rather excellent!
I've coughed almost all night.. but still standing.. or I will be shortly.. I figured it's not going anywhere anytime soon so I am cracking on with the decorating in a very slow manner..
Cats NOT impressed by the rain but the wind is great fun according to the wild kittens running about in the pen.
I am trying to decide on the best course of action for the cheque .. do I pay one bill off (saving me £100 a month) OR.. do I replace the cracked bathroom sink??? I cant decide!!
decluttering tasteless breakfast, knew I should have got something else.. then I have ebay stuff to photograph and 2 parcels to post.
Best order fathers day presents too.

Natty.. glad to hear Dave is on the mend.. DD1 used toget rigors with croup and pneumonia when she was small .. a sign the internal body temp is rocketing and while not a seizure the rapid increase in temp can result in one.. always best to get that checked. Do keep talking to us.. we care very much for you and Dave.. If there is anything at all we can do, just ask! xxI'm in the special 12% who don't get a high temp with this.. but the darn cough!!! OH had a temp for a couple of days and Twinkle is very warm today.. she is perfectly well in herself with intermittent tummy pain so it isn't yet too awful, she has a heart condition so in the higher risk category.. Boog is hiding his diabetic self in his room!! lol we might have to get a food flap! .
There is a tip run booked for today.. and dropping bits off at various places.. I just want to do my knitting!

The carrot soup that we've just devoured..it was delicious if I may say so myself..lol And definitely money-saving as I used up a bag of carrots that had been in the fridge for a couple of weeks 😅
