Our new build is now complete, we need to complete soon as our tenancy needs to be renewed in March or we need to give notice and our landlord isn’t very accommodating to allow us more time, obviously we don’t want to renew if we’re buying a house and don’t want to give notice if we don’t get the offer. Also my partner travels with work and will be abroad all of March and into April, so if we don’t complete by the end of February logistically it’s going to be a nightmare. We need to escalate but our MB is not pushing it? How do we get an escalation? Our application has been in 14 weeks now 😞

We asked our solicitor to write a letter/email and then I forwarded this to my MA and asked him to send it to Vida. Or you can ask the solicitor to send it directly. 

Thank you Amy, did your MA support it? I feel like my MA doesn’t want to escalate it, he seems happy to just sit in the queue 😞 

how are you getting on with your other application? Did you go with aldermore in the end? 

He did yes but at the end of the day he is working for you so I don’t think it’s unreasonable for you to ask him to help. 

Yes we went with Aldermore. It’s been in for 10 days - valuation is this week coming 😊 so so far it’s a lot quicker but until I have a decision I am not getting my hopes up! 

Let me know how you get on with Aldermore. We have our app in to, valuation/survey was done last week and was valued as expected but they have a query as maintenance/rent charge flagged up on the house we are buying! Hoping they don’t decline on that basis!

Is that for a new build? Ours is freehold but do have a £300 a year maintenance payment for the site. I wonder if they will ask us the same. 

Have you found them fairly quick or has it been as long as Vida was? 

No it’s not a NB, was built in 2007. Hoping to hear back soon! Ive found them a lot quicker than Vida so fingers crossed it stays that way!

So I finally got my offer today after waiting since October, the offer is the same as my DIP.  I really quite can't believe it and probably won't until it's all signed.  Although it's been an incredibly lengthy process, Vida never asked me for any additional information which may just be because of my circumstances.
I had almost given up but got there in the end, I hope everyone else has had some positive news today

I’m just wondering how long people have waited since hearing from our mortgage broker today “ I can confirm that everything has now been signed off, the case is now in the review for offer queue.”

We have escalated the case last week but just wondering how long after this message will we get an offer! (Application submitted 10/11/2020) thank you

It got escalated at the start of last week, Wednesday I was asked for another bank statement, Thursday/Friday it was at pre offer and I got the offer today. Once escalated I was told it would be looked at in 72 hours, which is was. Good luck 😊

Has anyone heard anything this week?
we escalated last week as we have missed our completion date. We was told on Monday we was in the pre offer stage. Due to hear something today/tomorrow.
