  • They asked for all sorts from us. When they shouldn’t have. If you submitted your application last nov/Oct you shouldn’t have to provide recent bank statements pay slips as it should be assessed on the ones you submitted with your application. Hence our appeal. Partner worked away up until December (self employed earning 66k for last year) now works at home since lockdown estimating to earn 42k over the next year. Offered us less because of this. However if our application was looked at when we submitted without all of the ridiculous delays we would have had an offer for what we needed by now. Mortgage broker is very experienced with this lender and has decided to appeal the case. I think we are ok if it doesn’t go through. 14 weeks has taken to excitement out of it now. Ha
Thanks for replies....we put application in first week of November..valuation done 27th Nov. Then silent. Just before Christmas got valuation back. Found out after new years that application will be looked at first week of February again.
We have had offer in for the house since September. It's awful the timescales etc.
  • I've just read on trust pilot someone has put a review on saying that vida are pulling out of all future mortgage applications. Dont know what that means :'(

I’ve just read that review, it doesn’t make any sense. I would take it with a pinch of salt and not worry about it.  Vida updated their SLAs again today, they are clearly still managing applications still in the pipeline.

Lol I nearly had a panic attack
  • I got an offer today after a long and stressful process - so don’t give up! First submitted on 23rd October. My broker escalated though, at beginning of Jan. They refused the first escalation but then the broker, developer and solicitor all wrote letters together, then things speeded up a lot, with only a couple of days between each piece of information requested then being reviewed by underwriter.

Escalated on 11th, then asked for my proof of employment form from employer, on 21st then asked for partners self employed form on 23rd, then on 1st Feb asked for proof of our addresses at end of 2018, then phoned broker today with another question about address dates - then offer this afternoon.
So don’t give up yet, it is such a stressful process though and wouldn’t wish it on anyone.
  • Oh, more payslips for my husband was the first thing they asked for, can’t even remember the date of that now. Each time my broker told me it was the final document... but yesterday’s actually was 😅

Congratulations good news in the end.

    Great news...congratulations.
What sort of info do there need about address I have seen that there ask alot about previous address etc
  • A utility bill or bank statement etc with those addresses on from end of year two years ago, I don’t know why they chose that time period. The bank statements we got online and utility bill from online account.

Then a phone call today (broker called today while underwriter on phone) to ask again where my husband lived during same a couple of months before bank statement...
  • We’ve been told that the underwriter is happy to give us an offer today!! Do we get it emailed over or have we got to wait for it in the post? I know post is very delayed so wondering how long people have waited to receive sign and return thank you
