Me the only update I have had today from my MB is that valuation was satisfactory and it will be with underwriters 34 working days from the date we applied which was beginning of November.0

Well we finally moved in to our new house yesterday. My honest review with Vida is it’s frustrating. And you need to push them or broker. If you get same update use their complaints@vidahomeloans.co.uk
.
Once it gets to the underwriting stage things do seem to move quickly0 -

Hi All
Ive tried to have a break over Christmas and not looked or checked anything Vida related!Any success stories?
We have had to increase our deposit as Vida will not take my partners pay rise into consideration despite a letter from his employer and 2 upto date payslips. Anyway, we’re very lucky in that my partners parents have gifted us some money which we are using to increase the deposit.Sent proof of deposit across today and most recent payslips and bank statements. Our application was originally made in September and we were supposed to complete 30/11/20. Ive had to raise a huge complaint with the builder as they recommended my broker, who in turn recommended Vida as we had an AIP in progress with Bluestone. Builder had agreed to give us until 29th Jan now but I’m having kittens over the looming lockdown and if Vida will even give us the mortgage offer in time.So stressful, I am very close to just giving in I have to say 😫0 -
We have had the unfortunate news today that they declined our application! After 12 weeks it’s a bloody joke. They said its because my husband had been furloughed last year (has been back since early November which was their criteria) and that means his job could be at risk in the future?! So frustrating. And why did it take them 12 weeks to decide that. Why say you will lend to furloughed applicants and give you forms to fill out showing you are back to work etc if you just get declined at the end of it!0
