Well we recieved our offer on the 4/12/2020....... thats just the start of the fun it then takes the post approx 4-5 working days at the moment for the documents to reach your solicitor as they wont do it by email. then when we thought we would be completing on 18/12/2020 Vida hit you with a new form the 'change of circumstances' form which they want you to clarify that you have had no change at all in circumstance but the best part is they gave it today and apparently need to be in reciept of it back 10 days before they will release any funds so we know complete on 15th January!!
What!?!?! How can you have a change in circumstances in such a short space of time of Vida sending documents to solicitor and releasing funds? Please tell me it doesn’t take them 34 days to release the funds

Exactly! I hope not! no its 10 days from them receiving and reviewing i dont know whether its just our case or what but apparently its a new thing put into place. Even sent back tomorrow they want 10 working days from reciept of the form which brings us into the xmas period we could then go for W.E 8th but preparing for week after as its safer with these hold ups.

Nothing like making us jump through hoops is there 😣
I will re-evaluate my expectations then. No chance we will be in for Christmas. Just hope the developer will wait 🤞🏻

So my update and questions is below . I have been told I should have a decision within 72 hours. I answered all the below within an hour today

Explanation for adverse - Applicant 1
Application now fits tier 2 – would they like to proceed on equivalent 2 year product of 4.69%?
Due to time elapsed please provide latest payslip for applicantsPlease provide confirmation that you have gained permission from applicants parents for us to retain the information they have provided on file due to GDPR requirementsGifted deposit was for more than the deposit , why?

Do you know when they started assessing yours... Was it today? We’ve got our payslips ready just in case, I’d seen others being asked for more up to date documents.

Yep of course it was the 10th dec I had to get our broker to escalate to their manager to get this far . I feel if I didn’t I would have been waiting to the new year . Mad our application went in on 06th oct

Ah so we’re a week behind you then, that means they’re not work to the days on their website as ours should be assessed today if they were and yours a week ago. I think I’m going to have to be more pushy with my broker too!

It is good that you have an offer in place. We also got asked for a change in circumstances before funds are released. It is normal procedure for applications that take a long time to process. I think they just do it the long-winded way. I am sure there is a quicker way of getting the forms done, like a tick both or something. I am sure it would have been nice to have the Christmas in your new home. I hope that you will manage to wait for January. I always hate waiting, so I can only imagine what it must be doing to your patience.

All the best to you mariesch1, and all the best to those who are still waiting.

Thank you i appreciate that. I think something a lot easier that a form that they have to have for 10 days in their hands before releasing funds seems a bit much but it is what it is. We have got used to the time frame now and will get xmas over with and then concentrate on the move.
