When you say estate agent to you mean solicitor?mariesch1 said:
Have you asked your estate agent to write to them to ask them to expedite it for you?Amy32 said:
I haven’t yet. Apparently it was with the underwriter on Friday?? It’s been 39 working days for us now! I would like it if this wasn’t hanging over us leading up to Christmas. And I can’t bare the chasing from the developer.mariesch1 said:Has anyone had anymore updates atm?I had thought about going to the solicitor but I was worried about whether our mortgage advisor would think we have gone behind his back.0 -

Just email him and request that he ask the solicitor to do it for you. Dont be afraid to ask hes on your side so should request it from them to make sure its done. Keep positive ask him for an update today. I emailed mine everyday for an update TBHAmy32 said:

We sent in full application on 21st September. A few back and forth questions. And a lot of anxiety-provoking waiting. It is a relief that we are almost there. But like they say, until you get the keys, the house is not yours.Amy32 said:
Oh wow, congratulations! What is your timeline of your application?kays69 said:At last, we have heard the news we all wish for. Our offer is in. Although we have not received the letter yet, we were informed that we have the offer. It was a long wait, but Vida has done it at last.
Good luck to all who are still waiting.

So I had my valuation done on 11/11/2020. I still have not heard anything further. No requests for any additional information - just radio silence! Last update from the MB was last week when he said my application was with the underwriter and would be looked at again on 11/12/2020. My First Home Fund award expires on 12/01/2021 and it states missives need to be concluded within 3 months of this date. I am so stressed especially with Christmas coming up and pressure from my ex-husband. I have emailed my MB and asked that he requests the solicitor writes a letter to Vida in the hope of expediting my application. I have also emailed the First Home Fund who said they would consider an extension on the basis of exceptional circumstances.
This is by no means an update, but I feel the need to vent and I know everyone on here understands the challenges involved in this process.
Apologies for the rant
I hope everyone is ok today

Ours was due to be looked at on 22/11 then the week before they increased their SLAs, then again we were due to be looked at on Friday just gone, the day before their SLAs were increased. Then again we were due to be looked at tomorrow and today their SLAs have increased again. So now we are waiting until Thursday which will be 38 working days since our documents were accepted, not since we submitted the application. Our application has been in 6 weeks now 😩....and it’s been radio silence other than valuation completed and is all ok.0

It’s just never ending isn’t it. I can’t understand why their SLAs keep increasing when they have reduced their residential mortgages to focus on their existing applications! We applied first week of October 😩SarahMayhtb said:Ours was due to be looked at on 22/11 then the week before they increased their SLAs, then again we were due to be looked at on Friday just gone, the day before their SLAs were increased. It’s driving me insane, i think ours must be a similar timescale! do you know what date your documents were accepted? We were told ours was the 20/10 after submitting the application the week before. Which will make today 36 working days. Have you had any other credit searches? We haven’t had anything 😩Amy32 said:It’s just never ending isn’t it.
