  • For anyone like me who is in Scotland and using the First Home Fund for their deposit, I just received the following information from Link that due to the situation with Covid, the Scottish Ministers are allowing all awarded cases up to 31st March 2021 to settle and the normal 3 months missives rule has been waived for the time being.
With Vida's speed there was no way I was going to settle within 3 months so a bit of relief as the wait continues :)

    01/10/2020 - DIP
    19/10/2020 - FHF approved
    23/10/2020 - Full application submitted
26/10/2020 - asked for proof of deposit gift
06/11/2020 - valuation instructed and adverse credit letter, proof of childcare costs
    10/11/2020 - Valuation carried out
My MB advised that is has been sitting with the underwriter since valuation and will be looked at on 11/12/2020.  I'm not hopeful about that though as the days keep going up!

Good luck. We are still waiting too. I keep looking on here to see if others who submitted at similar times to us receive a decision!

I don’t know but they have a 38 working day wait for the underwriter to even review the paperwork at the moment and then potentially another 29 working day to review further docs!
  • Has anyone had any updates?
  • Hi guys
    Haven’t updated in a while.
So we were initially declined as we couldn’t prove my partners address history by a posted document (he wasn’t on the electoral role until last year so they slanted something from 2018 which had been sent by post) Everything we do is online so they said no. My mortgage broker appealed it and we was successful. I was led to believe that everything else was complete and satisfied, however. They went on to re-ask questions that had been asked previously.
Today I have sent in proof that my partners car loan is completed and apparently need to wait for that to be reviewed before we will receive an offer. We had our AIP beginning of September and full application made on 25th Sept. house developer wanted to complete 30/11/20 and we’re now working towards 18/12/20. I just can’t see it happening! So stressful just before Christmas

Oh gosh, what a nightmare. We were asked for loads of stuff originally, but nothing recently. Apparently due to be looked at by the underwriters this week, but with how long ifs taking a am taking it with a pinch of salt!
  • Well we recieved our offer on the 4/12/2020....... thats just the start of the fun it then takes the post approx 4-5 working days at the moment for the documents to reach your solicitor as they wont do it by email. then when we thought we would be completing on 18/12/2020 Vida hit you with a new form the 'change of circumstances' form which they want you to clarify that you have had no change at all in circumstance but the best part is they gave it today and apparently need to be in reciept of it back 10 days before they will release any funds so we know complete on 15th January!!
