It might be worth speaking to your solicitor to see if they can get a letter over to Vida to see if they can priorities your application. As the house is how built this will speed up the process so you can still complete on time.

If you contact your mortgage broker and see if they can contact your solicitor that’s probably the quickest way to get it done.

Welcome, Amy32. There have been some good outcomes here, and unfortunately last week we have a forum poster who got turned down. The encouraging thing is that their broker is fighting through an appeal. We hope things will work out.

Like you, we have had our valuation a week or so ago and we are waiting for an offer. We have had our second hard search, so we are hopeful. Here you meet people who share experiences and it helps as there are so many kind words. Let us hope that you will get the offer soon and will post a positive outcome.

When did you apply for your mortgage? 

To be honest I have convinced myself we aren’t going to get it. Our landlord is selling and we didn’t think we would be in a position to buy but a friend convinced me to at least speak to an advisor so we did and we’re pleasantly surprised. If we don’t get it, I will be disappointed but I have set myself up for that decision. We will be in a better position in a few years, but the developer was offering a 5% deposit contribution for NHS staff and as i am a nurse we decided to try! Cross fingers for us all.

That’s excellent mate, did you get this done quicker by calling your MB again mate. Only app was put through on the 14 October, so hopefully once valuation has went through things will hopefully come through. 

Yeah, I chased him twice today and magically he had an update lol! Although just now I've been informed by my employer that I may go onto Flexible furlough, I'm not sure how that would effect the application as it's not complete furlough and I'll still be getting 90% of my salary. Anyone had any dealings with furlough and VIDA during there process?

Have you heard anything yet? 

We are in a similar situation.

Nope my update due on 3rd dec so Thursday. Valuation was completed on the 10th nov. Then since then each update I have received is to wait longer.

Our Valuation was completed on 6th November that's what we have had since to wait a bit longer and today we have just been told we will hear an update by end of the week. The problem is that they seem to class an update as " we will give you an update soon " then that's it theve been in touch again for a bit.

Is anyone else a little obsessed which checking this forum to see whether anyone hears updates and gets offers with a similar timescale to you? I am 🤣
