More questions 🙈 gosh they are thorough aren't they. I hoping they won't ask us anything else... there's nothing else they could possibly ask 😂 oh no, really?? That doesn't sound good!! I have no idea how you'd resolve that!mariesch1 said:

On the other hand we had to get a builder round to the property in the meantime as there were quite a few issues with the property and we have been quoted 6,500 for the works but owner is refusing to budge and has said they will remarket it so i now have a choice.bell2020 said:

No idea to be honest with you, we have been credit checked twice more, asked some questions regarding adverse credit. Val went through ok, what is final step that people talk about on here and do you think if we get passed that then it’s offer?.bell2020 said:

I'm the same, honestly. I am spending my days refreshing emails incase the broker contacts, refreshing our solicitors app for updates and checking this page constantly 🙈 I've rang our solicitor 4 times and messaged her and have had no answer!! Still waiting to hear if they've received valuation report and how long to expect an update. Hate not knowing whats going on, I'm a control freak 😩 have you had any hard checks on your credit file? We had one on 24th sept, the day our application went in but we had another last Friday 🤷♀️Emeljay19 said:
I really hope so. I’m so frustrated today. Was promised a decision and it’s been put back to tomorrow. Just feel like I’m being fobbed off if I’m honest. I’ve lost all faith that I’m going to get a mortgage offer out of this 😫bell2020 said:
Yes it says for new purchases only. I just thought it would be a good thing for us as maybe things will be done quicker 🤞Emeljay19 said:
I’ve just spoken to my broker about this as we are expecting a decision today. This has now been pushed back to tomorrow 😫bell2020 said:Just seen this on Vidas website!!"We are striving to provide the best possible outcomes for our customers, while maintaining our commitment to lending responsibly. We now need to think about how we carefully manage our existing pipeline of applications to enable customers to complete their transactions before the end of the Stamp Duty Holiday and current Help to Buy scheme on 31st March 2021. Protecting service levels and giving certainty to those customers already in our pipeline has to be the right priority for us and we have therefore decided to make a number of temporary reductions to our residential product range, removing all products for new purchase applications. We will launch a new and fully invigorated product range in the New Year."
My broker has confirmed that it’s new applications onlyI personally hope every single person on here gets what they wish for. It’s a stressful time, I’ve been lucky that I’ve been so busy at work just to get through this. Sometimes not even time to have dinner 😂😂0 -
Yes the process is generally inital underwriting, then valuation, then final underwriting (i think with a senior underwriter) and then hopefully, offer 🤞 glad you've been busy, taking your mind off it all!Resnik001 said:

So we have just had the news we were dreading. They have declined us because we cannot provide posted address history for my partner. My broker says he is going to appeal the decision but I’m not hopeful. I’m absolutely gutted. We were supposed to have completed tomorrow 😭0

Oh my goodness!!!! That's horrendous. We were asked the same questions and provided online bank statement for me & a posted letter from HMRC for my husband. This is madness 🙈 I'm so sorry, really hope they overturn their decision!Emeljay19 said:So we have just had the news we were dreading. They have declined us because we cannot provide posted address history for my partner. My broker says he is going to appeal the decision but I’m not hopeful. What makes it worse is that they raised it as an issue before valuation. We sent online docs in for my partner, which they approved and booked the valuation. Then it’s been reviewed again by senior underwriter and they’ve said no purely because we have no posted documents. They approved the online stuff at the initial underwrite and now it’s an issue.bell2020 said:
