How long did everyone wait for their valuation to be done? Ours was instructed a week ago.... still haven't heard if its been booked in! Broker said they're snowed under and it could be a while..... how long is a while... days, weeks, months!? 🙄 sick of waiting!!0

Ours was instructed on the 05th then completed on 10th. But ours is a new build. Plus the lady from Barratt’s was straight on the case.bell2020 said:How long did everyone wait for their valuation to be done? Ours was instructed on the 6th, they didn’t book it in though, on the 9th our developer called esurv themselves and booked it for the next day. Everything in the construction industry is allowed to continue this lockdown so there shouldn’t be any hold ups. Could you chase them yourself?bell2020 said:How long did everyone wait for their valuation to be done? Ours was instructed a week ago.... still haven't heard if its been booked in! I've already rang the valuers myself. They said there are no bookings under that postcode. Strange when they rang the seller (my FIL) a week ago. I wonder if it would be on his bookings system if the valuation has already taken place? I wish I hadn't of rang them because I'm even more psychotic now 😂🙈0

So... our broker called at lunchtime today to let us know that we have our offer!!
He'd spoken to Vida and they said they would send it over to him this afternoon and would send us a copy in the post. Not sure if he received it this afternoon, as I haven't spoken to him since, but I'm not stressing too much about it (at the moment!!)
It's been 7 weeks and 1 day since we submitted our application. It's been so frustrating not knowing what was happening. I think if they were more transparent with the progress and timescales, instead of the radio silence, it would make the waiting slightly less stressful. Our broker has been great, responding to any queries almost instantly on most occasions, so that's kept me sane.
Our timeline is as follows:
10/9/20 - DIP
23/9/20 - Offer on house accepted
24/9/20 - Full application went in
24/9/20 - Hard search done
25/9/20 - Asked to fill out gifted deposit form and reason for bad credit.
29/9/20 - Asked if we took payment holidays and told case progressed to underwriter and should have update within 9 days!
27/10/20 - Asked for bank statement and first home fund award letter. Valuation instructed.
2/10/20 - Vida received valuation. In queue for review...
13/11/20 - Verbal offer
I hope everyone else gets the update they're waiting for soon.6 -
We have had our valuation done first week in November and it came back as fine a few days later. Just been told that there is no update as of yet but may be by COB today but wont say whether it will be an offer or just an other update.bell2020 said:
How frustrating. They were like that with us before instructing valuation... just delaying it constantly. Whats the point in having a time scale on the website if they're not going to stand by those times. Madness!mariesch1 said:
Yes as everyday this week we have been told that it is a definite answer today then tomorrow. Just had a call back and they have said that this is now not going to be today and they cant give a day for an update. My MA has now contacted my solicitor to request a letter be sent as the owners have another property to go to and want to move asap.bell2020 said:
No, today is the 36th working day since our application was put in. We are still waiting for valuation. Don't even know when it is booked for 😭mariesch1 said:
