Really sorry to hear, hopefully you get some positive news in your favour.

It does take a while as they are specialist lenders. Ours has only started making significant moves now. For most of the past 45 days, it has been questions and requests. Keep the faith.

Our valuation took place yesterday so now the waiting game. . Even Tho the new homes portal shows that initial underwriting  passed with Vida . The broker is unaware of this .But Barratt homes contact says they would not organise the valuation themselves if not confident . Just trying to remain level headed here and not get too far ahead of myself. As it did seem very coincidental that so many people on this thread also had their valuation instructed on the 05th nov.

@sirjp82 our valuation was instructed on 6th. Our broker said we have passed initial underwriting and our application is now subject to valuation! So you never know ☺

Yeah I hope so. Part of me thinks they are updating the systems in batches . Which is why so many got the same in and around the same time .  Hopefully hear something back this week. Thing is I have not had any questions or requests for any new docs at all to get to this stage .Which seems to be different that others on here .
  • Our valuation was instructed 28th October.  It was back with Vida 2nd November and has been sitting waiting for review ever since. The latest update is "it's in the queue for this week". We're due to move next Friday.😥

This has been such a stressful experience.

Our mb told us Vida are behind with underwriting and although they usually only instruct the valuation when happy with underwriting they have taken the decision to instruct valuations prior to underwriting to speed up their processes. Vida have said they are working around the clock to get their turnaround times down. Our valuation was also instructed last Friday,

I was told this too that they are instructing valuations to speed things up, makes me wonder. They SLA time keeps going up too

Think it’s hard to gauge, everyone’s applications are unique. Some may be passed underwriting & then onto Valuation, & others may require more initial underwriting.

  • Its made me anxious that our underwriting isn't complete. However our broker said it is 🤷‍♀️🥴 her words were,
"So the case is fine, happy with the address ID ‘s provided and the valuation is instructed so the case is now subject to valuation.
The valuation has been instructed today. Valuers are taking much longer at the moment due to demand, they are still visiting even with covid restrictions so that has not changed anything , it is just simply the volume of cases they all have , like everyone at the moment.

So moving forward finally….  Let me know when you hear re the valuation and if I hear I will of course let you know too."

Hoping she is correct and we have passed the initial underwriting 🙈😟

  • Well again ours has been set back again after supposed to recieve response today the SLA has been changed again so tomorrow before another update its been 27 working days and i feel like giving in :(
