  • Our application was submitted on Monday 12th Oct so 5 days. In normal circumstances I wouldn’t of pushed so hard for the valuation but as I had the sellers on our back I had no choice. Now that E surv rand the sellers yesterday they are happy, I think the sellers were getting scared due to time limit, like I said, I would keep pushing your brokers. If you’ve paid the valuation fee then you are eligible for a valuation to be instructed ASAP! It says that in VIDAs t&cs!

    On Vidas website it says valuation will be after they are happy with the initial underwriting!?

    Hmm not entirely true. Our broker had an email from VIDA saying if they clients have paid for the valuation upon submission they are legally allowed to instruct the valuation, this is based on the fact should the case decline then the valuation fee would not be refunded. As I mentioned, push your broker. It can be done, Our case is proof.

    We applied the same day as you. Had hoped to hear last week, but our broker got in touch with them and was told it's likely to be Wednesday this week before we hear anything.

     Ours was done on the day our application was submitted.

    Not sure sorry, I haven't seen a heard search done on ours. I cancelled our subscription with Experian after our application went in and its not showing a search on Equifax.

    Did you? Have you had any questions or anything? Our app went in 24th. But they asked us for extra documents on the 29th which I sent across the next day but they weren't submitted until 1st October. Broker originally said it was 9 days from application but then it changed straight away to 11 working days. We hadn't heard anything last week so she said she thinks the 11 working days is from the day we submitted extra documents. So the 11th working day should of been last Friday. I haven't heard from broker since last Tuesday. I have emailed requesting an update and for valuation to be instructed but not heard anything. Our broker has used a packager so she has to chase them and then they chase the lender. Its becoming ridiculous now though!! Were in a caravan with young children and we desperately want to be out of here before it gets colder or we have a lockdown!!! Arghh!!

    I just use the free money saving expert credit club, powered by Experian... saves me paying the 14.99 fee. Apologies for all the question I say to you lovely people.
