Ok valuation next week now....although it was almost November due to the surveyors being so busy. Have you heard anything today @bell2020?0

How much would you guys push your broker? I am being chased daily by solicitors for an update and I send my broker an email once a week but I am not sure how much longer to wait! I am worried about losing our new build 😭😭

Every day. Twice. Particularly 1 month in or if being pressurised by another party. You can also ask your developer to push for you too (always keep them on side). Include everyone in an email to state the current situation and highlight where the hold up is.0

@LBrentnall85 I don’t think you will lose your newbuild so long as you keep them fully informed. They are unlikely to release it as the clock will start again with whoever else wanted to buy it - although they will likely threaten it!! Are you using their solicitor? Don’t feel bad about calling and emailing more.0

@emmabricksandmortar no update 😩 broker confirmed on Friday that it is now 11 working days and not 9. But Friday was 11 working days! Hoping we shall have an update tomorrow (monday). Glad your valuation is booked in! Do they use local surveyors or is it their own?0

@LBrentnall85 depends on what my broker says. Our application went in on 24th Sept and she told us it would be 9 working days. So I emailed her on the 9th working day and she said Vidas website is showing 11 working days now.. so I waited until the 11th day but still no update so I'll email tomorrow (monday) to chase it. She does always say she will update me as soon as she knows but its usually me emailing her first!0

They use esurv but esurv had handed it out to a contractor for some reason - who couldn’t do the valuation until November. The developer called esurv and they managed to get it in for next week. Just hoping any lockdown doesn’t affect 🙄1

Okay, thanks. We have recently had a surveyor out to value it and have the report so wondered if they would accept that 🙈 highly doubt it.
Good luck with yours1
