Our full application was submitted 24th September. Our initial underwriting was said to be 9 working days which is up tomorrow. However their website now states 11 working days! No valuation booked in yet. They asked us a couple of questions regarding transactions on our bank statement and asked for proof of a document. Nothing else as of yet!
  • @jodieba ours went in on the 14th September. Our MB is becoming less communicative and it seems they lack basic knowledge of dealing with Vida. I’ve asked a couple of times about supplementary docs they might need, MB says no and then Vida request...putting us to the back of the queue. We’re getting vague or no response when emailing, it’s a bit worrying. Apparently one thing was cleared yesterday but the credit explanation is still in the underwriter queue.

@emmabricksandmortar how long ago did your application go in, ours was submitted 7th Sept, they have come back twice for extra documents last time was on yesterday for 1 thing, I've asked my broker to chase up as dont want to go back in another queue again. I've asked if survey can be instructed aswell aswell as the vendors are chasing for it. Fingers crossed you get some news soon
I don't think you have a choice but to go back in the queue. My broker said there is no way to escalate cases with Vida. They were operating outside of their service level agreements on my case and they still wouldn't escalate it. I just had to wait.

I think things with Vida are slightly quicker after the valuation stage. Our valuation was carried out last Thursday (1st October) and our mortgage broker said they’ve Received it and already signed it off and they are only waiting for 1 more doc to sign off before we get our offer.... as we were waiting for the valuation to get carried we sent across another document they needed and our mortgage broker said it was at the full underwriting stage at that point. Our full application went in 3rd September.

9 working days for us today but no update 😔 their website now says 11 days for initial underwriting so maybe we have a couple more days to wait! Hate the waiting game!!

seen credit file. I have found this thread helpful making sure I have all documents which Vida ask for in preparation. Now it’s the waiting game . Seen mixed reports on Vida.

We have had our application escalated and survey is being booked in prior to final checks. I had to push really hard for it! No sleep is happening!!!
