Hi All, was accepted DIP with Vida and house purchase offer has went through subject to Mortgage application. However I have taken ill, though I have tried to battle through its became impossible. Does Vida ask for any employment letters etc, worried if I go off on the sick would cause issues. My broker said. It should be on existing wage slips. I have had a history of ill health, major surgery etc... but this time am just done.

Thank you, just wish we could reserve, builders won’t let us as we haven’t sold yet! So frustratingemmabricksandmortar said:@LMJ10 once you’ve reserved make sure you get your HTB forms in quick as it’s taking up to 16 days to get the ATP, which Vida need to proceed with an application. It seems most MBs do this (but not in our case 😐).0 -
Does your sickness affect your pay or do you get paid for being off sick? I had to provide 3 months payslips. They did query why they were different each month etc.Resnik001 said:Hi All, was accepted DIP with Vida and house purchase offer has went through subject to Mortgage application. If your sickness doesn't affect your paylsips you should be ok? You also have to provide your P60.1 -
Thank you, it does not affect my payslips get round about the same figure each month. Have also handed in my p60 to my broker. Did they ask for any Employer letter, or is it just the payslips they query for income. Thankslismarie said:

No I didn't get asked for any employers letters. I am on a permanent contract, although I don't believe they asked me this question. I have heard of employers letters being needed for those who have been on furlough or people who have temporary contracts.Resnik001 said:

Hello! I am hoping you can offer some sort of advise / counselling...!
We submitted our application on 28th August, waited a few weeks and they came back wanting payslips before lockdown and a copy of my contract.
They then wanted proof of a secured loan being settled which we provided, a few more weeks and they raised an issue with the credit risk team about tier and product.
I am currently going through the financial ombudsman about a catalogue company that lost cheques I sent / failed to allocate a payment to my account so I had a missed payment which I am hoping will be removed. They have asked for an explanation of what happened so have sent all the details and they have changed our tier to a slightly higher interest rate. I am now back waiting and we are on week 6.... Our broker is lovely but I am being chased every few days from my solicitors etc - Any advise? You all seem to have had your valuation and we haven't!

I got my mortgage offer with Vida last week. I had an AIP for 4.39% fixed for 2 years. When the offer came through it was 4.74% fixed for 5 years. The explanation from my broker was that they changed their products while my application was going through. I wasn't very happy about it but as we're almost at the point of completion I haven't got the heart to challenge it.LBrentnall85 said:Hello! We haven’t had a valuation booked yet 😐 things appear to be slowing down at Vida again. If they changed the rates for us we wouldn’t be able to do it - well more the length really.0
