@jmilne well done on passing everything. Fingers crossed for your valuation... hopefully they'll book it in on Monday! Have you been asked for any extra documents or anything?
There is more underwriting after valuation.

Docs wise they ask for a set of mandatory docs, then it's likely to be small things such as Bank statements, payslips, gifted depodit forms etc. Depends on situation
  • @MortgageWonders yes I know, but @jmilne said they'd passed the checks before valuation so I just said well done.

Our full application went in on Thursday so I am aware what documents are required as I've sent them all. I just wondered if @jmilne had been asked for any extra documents before valuation

As I've said above it's impossible to say as it depends on situation but the docs i've mentioned are the likely ones they could ask for. If your self employed you're likely to be asked for more than if your employed unless your employed in a high risk Industry such as hospitality.
They do assement, inital underwrite, instruct valuation whilst doing more underwriting and asking for more docs, valuation report, underwrite and final checks, offer.

People try and gain comparisons but on things like docs it's so hard to says because everyone situation, credit file etc is different.
They will want your "every mortgage story" aswell at some point if you've not submitted it on application

Thank you! Getting to this stage has been 3 weeks, they’ve had our full application for full weeks and during that time they have asked the reason we’ve had adverse credit and then came back to us twice for extra documents for my fiancée as she has had more addresses than me recently and I think it had something to do with the electoral roll. Vida have already had our bank statements, proof of deposit, gifted deposit letter, P60, payslips, ID and proof of address. Our mortgage advisor called on Thursday and said you’ve passed all the checks and they are happy with your docs and it’s been passed to the final underwriting stage and valuation will be booked in with E Surv. So I’m guessing once E Surv have done the valuation it will go back to Vida to check over everything but they shouldn’t need any more docs on top of what we’ve provided.
  • @jmilneNot bad going really is it, 3 weeks. Quite quick compared to some lenders. We have submitted all of those documents also so all we should hopefully need to provide is the adverse credit letter. Is it a form to fill in to explain adverse credit or is it a personal written letter if that makes sense? Thinking of drafting something up so I know what to write when the time comes 😂

Fingers crossed they'll book your valuation in tomorrow!

Our mortgage advisor asked us and we told the mortgage advisor why we had bad credit and they typed it as a word document while on the phone and said they were sending it to Vida straight away.
  • Okay, thank you 😊
  • Ok so our valuation is booked in for this Thursday morning. 😁👍
  • I've never known a company have so many people do so many different checks! Our case was passed for final checks over a week ago. So we had initial check and asked for more info, then passed to an underwriter, then passed to the person for final checks and now it has been passed to someone else who makes the final decision and creates the offer. Still waiting for that bit and have been waiting a week. My broker said Vida don't do a verbal offer and then create the offer, they do it all at the same time. Anyone had experience of this? I'm so anxious as we're supposed to be moving in two weeks!
  • We applied with Vida on the 7th Sept already had in principle, they came back friday asking 14 questions, I'm so stressed out we are going to lose our dream house. Is anyone in a temp contract I have for 1 year working for the council but paid through Hayes which is an agency but when I read their criteria they dont accept but my broker has been trying to pass as fixed term. I keep thinking surely they would of rejected it by now, just so drawn out want to know one way or another so If not can see if any other options for us.
