Morning, might be NSD number 4. Working from the office today, no worries about social distancing, as our floor can hold about 100 people and there are currently 4 of us, and all the doors are propped open so don't need to touch anything. Bit disappointed, yesterday was so gloomy but it never actually rained. Got the toilets cleaned and hoovered the living room so a productive day
Today I am grateful for OH volunteering to drop off a card and some recycling whilst looking after LO, for LO giving me lots of kisses this morning (although it does mean I had a soggy face) and for finding some more of the ebooks for my reading challenge for free on Project Gutenberg8 -
Mothernerd don't over do it. I need to rake the dead moss off my lawn - which usually results in my back breaking. Little at a time way forward. My afternoon off today. Tummy seems to have finally settled down but feels sore so go for a small walk. So tired today, think getting up in the morning has finally caught up with me. Just not used to it.Tea planned, salmon, new pots and green beans. How healthy am I ? Ordered bathroom mechanical scales off Amazon, however out of stock at moment, fed up of batteries going flat on digital ones, have been taking them in and out as well. Oh well might be able to loose weight before it arrives.Abundant is the money pot thing on your signature a challenge? I could save more money now just need an incentive.Might clear my debts in the next week. I seem lost not scrimping and saving for something.Have a lovely day folks.LBM 13039 1.1.13 Now £0 Finally Debt FreeMortgage free Oct 2019:)EFund/savings £25000 10/11/227

Calling I've been doing as much as I can sitting down. I have a chair by the bag, a hard chair with a second size down tub next to me, two trowels, a shovel and a small bucket stuck in the soil, I've put the greenhouse cover on the floor around the bag so any 'misses' will be caught. I started by turning down part of one of the sides and scraping/pouring directly into a bucket. Larger tubs are half filled then put in place and I use a smaller bucket to finish filling them. The largest tub goes on the walker and I can safely tip it into one on the deep bag containers (had to get mum to hold the handle to keep one open but it's been folded up behind the shed since I brought it here) and 2 next size tubs with two smaller buckets on top fit nicely on the trolley.
I'm alternating digging and trundling soil, sitting and standing, leaning over the bag to scrape from the far 'higher' side and working on the nearer, lower side (slope is deliberate so that I can put a large tub in and then make the soil run into it. I have water, I'm having lots of five minute breaks and doing stretches, shoulder shrugs etc. I've just come in for a lovely lunch (bacon, eggs, mushrooms and tomatoes) which I asked mum if she could manage, had a full jug of water and I'm going to have a full half hour stretched out on the bed. Going to leave the largest size tub now and move to second size and take a stool outside so I can have another raised surface for tub filling (not so far to lift to put in the trolley) and I left some of the tubs from the last batch on old kitchen chairs so they can be tipped into the planting containers.
So far it's been a lot easier than I expected but then last time I did this it was 3 tonnes of soil tipped directly onto the driveway and I had to carry on in the rain as DS1 had phoned to ask if he could stay overnight as he was working in town and would finish after the last bus went. So I needed to at least clear a clear pathway through it for him to get to the front door in the early hours of the morning.
I plan to switch down bucket sizes as I get tired. I might even have some fun planting up the larger ones (starting with the last 3 fruit trees) or the ones that have arrived as plugs or been grown from seed and need more space but want to keep them safe until they're a bit bigger before they go outside. I have quite a lot of small plant pots/ yoghurt pots and half bottle planters, just had no soil left. I intend to pack up for the day when it starts to hurt.
This is in no way a criticism, thank you so much for reminding me, I do tend to get carried away and end up in the grim 'I'm going to finish this if it kills me' bit where you are just forcing yourself. I expected it to take several days so will do what I can but not overdo it (unfortunately we never know until the day after, do we).

What is the NDT challenge, ditty?
NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!3 -
I managed to balance my time today in that I sewed myself an apron, something I have wanted to do for a while, and just did the basic mundane things. I gave myself the day off from doing my exercises.
I came in under my grocery budget with just pence to spare. I'm grateful for the rain but I agree, it hasn't been the soaking the garden needs. We've cloud and some light rain in the forecast so I'll still be out with the watering can.7 -
Good Afternoon!!!
Having a nice day off - car failed its MOT due to worn tyres, and no replacements in stock - and they couldn't let me drive it home so I had to abandon it and get a taxi, and will have to get one back tomorrow GRRR. Cars - gotta love em! I am bad at maintaining vehicles though
Found a way around my car payments on the MSE credit card/loans page page - a 0% money transfer card (2.99% fee but interest free on money straight to your account). Worked out cheaper than my car refinance quote and I can vary my monthly payments too. Also meant I could use what I had saved to knock a chunk off. Will update signature once it's all gone through...
Calling - my 'Money Pot' is just my spends/groceries (£50 per week). I have withdrawn £50 leaving £150... The Treasure Trove is me attempting to pay myself a % of my income... although now I will be using it to re-build my Emergency Fund.
Today not an NSD as stopped by shop to pick up a few things.
Today I am grateful for:
1) My little car and the places it takes me and freedom it brings
2) For the nice kind service people in Hyundai
3) For a resolution to my car finances presenting itself.
Have a good day folks!!!⭐ DEBT FREE : 18/02/2025 ⭐

NSD No 4
There has just been a torrential downpour It was lovely and everything is much fresher. Still raining but eased off considerably.
Not much to report today really. It's very quiet. Nobody about outside and Himself has spent the day reading whilst I've been pottering about tidying this and that. Still got a few things on my list that I'd like to accomplish but I hope I'll manage them before bedtime which will be early. I'm feeling quite tired today.
Have a good evening.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.6 -

Ive been so busy at work and yesterday we had a nom emergency bed emergency so went ti Ile4 for a new bed and ds who's a big lad spent all evening trying to put it together and blaming me for making him do it 2 days before an exam, he's an adult and he was the one who could definitely spend one more night in the old - ver rickety bed.
Anyways all done now. And I'll have a nap now and a glass late. Grateful for problem solver son's (when they have slept), for an inspiring session for my students today, even if they did not all show up, and grateful for both washing machine and dishwasher now working like sewing machines. And grateful that somebody might give me a sewing machine if it works.Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%
