Morning all
Not feeling the love for the second day in a row. It's rained here for almost 24 hours now and pretty heavy rain too, which just makes everything feel a bitIt's almost lunchtime and both kids are still asleep, it's cold and I'm just working through a massive work elephant that I've been leaving and leaving. I've had reasonable success tackling frogs this week, and have an appointment at the tip this afternoon. The car is full to bursting of bags containing a bit of rubbish and the rest of ex's stuff. I did briefly consider trying to sell some of it - there were a few things there I thought might have gotten a bit of money but I made the decision that this man is going to be out of my life once and for all. So there's bags of clothes going to recycling, a load of cardboard and then just lots of rubbish bags. Me and dd are going later and that's another job done.
Car fixed under warranty again. Second time in a month - doesn't fill me with hope for the future but that's what I pay for and it was good to get it sorted quickly and without any fuss.
New bathroom arrived ready for fitting next week (hopefully) so the house is decluttered of ex and recluttered with new bathroom things. Poor ds has the new bath in his bedroom - I am looking forward to that.
No takers for my support bubbleso no change for me either...

Good afternoon!
Thanks you Narola, Apple and Calling regarding my car! I've just been waiting for a few things to clear on my credit cards... now cleared all of those except the 0% interest one - will update my signature after this - but I am now just over £4K in debt. Hang in there Mothernerd - we can do this!!! Sometimes we take one step forward and two steps back - but you are nothing if not persistent and determined!!! Calling that is awesome progress with your debts - definitely on the home run. Ditty - hang in there with your job - as you say - not a good time to be moving - keep your head down and put out there for the right job to come along and find you. Intent is everything!!! f0xh0les I like the idea of splitting cleaning into 9 - I feng-shui my apartment and that falls into 9 sectors! (don't ever do it it's a nightmare haha!!!)... I will use that to structure my cleaning lol.
Today (is still) NSD number 3
Today I am grateful for:
1) Getting a handle at last on what I owe - I have a target in sight
2) A few hours to myself before heading to parents to do my chores
3) A sense of clearing away the old to make room for the new
Have a good day folks... I'll check in tomorrow evening x⭐ DEBT FREE : 18/02/2025 ⭐

Hugs crazy_cat_lady - it sounds like you've been clearing out the old too... Doing all of that is bound to stir up memories and it's no wonder you're not feeling the love after all that... But... when the dust settles and you see you have made space for new growth, hopefully you will feel bright and optimistic once more. Well done on a difficult task!⭐ DEBT FREE : 18/02/2025 ⭐

Still on NSD No 9
Weekly shop ordered and bulk order of toilet rolls, cleaning items ordered including some for the Boy to limit the time he has to spend in the supermarket. We'll have enough of all of that to last us well into the remainder of the year.
Well done, CCL. Ditching all the ex's stuff will make it easier to move on. Believe me, you will feel liberated when it's gone.
Pre-booked holidays are a real problem, aren't they? We have one booked in October. Self catering in England. Deposit paid and balance due at end of July. Really, really want to go as we usually go for a month twice as year. As things stand at the moment we can't but it could change before July and then again by October. I'm just hanging on in there with fingers crossed.
On a more positive note. Changed the energy tariff and saved £11 a month. Every little helps.
Making a sweet and sour chicken for dinner tonight. Never made it before. Wish me luck.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.7 -
Hi all
Having a bad day and a shouty email from a reseller didn't help, however had permission from my manager to ignore, so just took him out the email trail, no more updates for him. Need to write shopping list and either go this evening (raining) or tomorrow (super busy Saturday)
Toni'sfriend - good luck with the sweet and sour
Grateful for having a job that doesn't make me unhappy, for LO's new tooth finally making it through the gum and for the lovely person who runs a second hand clothes website for kids
