Hi turtles,Weather looking pants here today.Managed a long hilly walk yesterday after work, little bit wet but just got in before thunderstorm. Feel so much brighter for it and an early night. Nothing to do with young fit jogger with his top off running ahead of me up the hill. No wonder my heart rate was sky high. Must do that walk more often.Jealous of all you English people can't wait to hug my grandchildren, hopefully Wales will lift restrictions here soon.Grateful forHappy moodOff work this afternoonBosses in a good mood.LBM 13039 1.1.13 Now £0 Finally Debt FreeMortgage free Oct 2019:)EFund/savings £25000 10/11/226

Most English people still can’t hug their grandchildren calling. ☹️Grateful for:
baking with the smalls
warm blankets to snuggle under in the evening
my little family and being together in these times.4 -

As far as I (and mum) are concerned nothing has changed (no loosening of rules for those who are shielding). (This is a very condensed version of what I originally wrote as it sounded a bit dismal). I wasn't well when I woke up (only something minor but it was debilitating and uncomfortable until it eased off). I was going to have an extra nap but tried for an icyland slot and got one. Did quite a long order (cupboard stock ups and things I've had difficulty getting hold of eg washing up gloves) then for some reason the payment didn't go through. Nevermind, the list will be useful.
June Challenge Day 11
Take time to think about other people. Food bank use has tripled, charity shops are closed, cancer research has had to be put on hold, zoos and animal shelters are running out of food, so many people and organisations are in need of help. Just do what you can.
Kat always saw it as giving back to the universe - however much debt you are in, someone somewhere is worse off than you. If you help others, hopefully someone will help you in your time of need.
If you are chafing and feeling confined, think how much worse it would be in a refugee camp, with insufficient food or medical aid, living cheek by jowl with thousands of other people.
Don't forget those close to you, check on elderly or vulnerable neighbours if you are able to go out (a lovely man stopped to chat when I was digging the big bag of soil, bucket by bucket - he offered to go and get his wheelbarrow and run it through to the back for me, but I haven't let anyone into the yard and I had to decline because it might not have been safe for mum). I'm still not sure it was right to let the window cleaner in even though we both stayed inside, left his money in a jar and I propped the gate open so that he had no reason to touch it. Phone a friend or relative who would welcome a chat or just a kind word.
Quotes
Even the smallest act of caring for another person is like a drop of water - it will cause ripples throughout the whole pond
Caring people help others not because they expect a reward, but because it is natural to show kindness
Never believe that caring people can't change the world, for indeed, that is all who ever have

The grandparent thing does not apply to us, as LO grandparents are still married so don't live alone so no cuddles for them. Hoping caravan sites do reopen, OH parents live up near the Peak District so cannot see LO but they do have a motorhome so would jump at the chance to come down and go on some socially distanced countryside walks. Not sure when she will see great grandmas again, they are both in their 90s, will have to make do with video chats
Nothing to report really, doctors offered to prescribe me a different medicine to see if the insomnia goes, will try next time I need it
Today I am grateful to find out a way to turn the touchscreen off on video calls, for fixing a customers fault in about 20 minutes and that although some family are far away they are healthy6 -

Still on NSD No 9
Bought a birthday present for my cousin's little Grandson. I suppose I could have left it till the weekend when I was getting the weekly shop but I saw what I wanted at a reasonable price and it will be gift wrapped and delivered at no extra cost. It's budgeted for anyway.
That was a lovely and thought provoking post, Mothernerd. My mother used to say "if you can't do someone a good turn make sure you don't do them a bad one" and "no matter how bad things are there's always someone worse off than you". Very wise words and she did live through some very difficult times. It would have been interesting to hear what she had to say about our current situation.
I think there is a lot of confusion about the interpretation of some of the lock down rules especially as they are different in the four home nations. That's not a criticism of any of them. I think though of those who live in the border regions. It must be confusing if you live somewhere like Berwick and your friends and family live in one of the villages just over the border in Scotland. Hopefully, though the R number seems to be deceasing and we can only hope that it continues.
Mothernerd, I had the same problem with the Iceland site one time. I went back a step and tried again and it worked. I think it's a problem on their site.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.5 -

In the meantime we appear to have found lots of jobs which need doing around the house to spend money on instead (things like dodgy electrics which are definitely not for diy-ing!)
Thankful today for a heated airer (raining...), for the rain for the garden (much needed), for managing a v quick run around the necessary parts of Tesc0 and also getting some freebies (via shopping apps) whilst getting the required shopping, for getting rid of some things via fb00k mktplace, for having a plan to get rid of more things!
