I have tidied up a ys roll of filo pastry and made a spanakopita, and with the leftover bits, made a baklava(ish) both of which were lush (DS1 had 4 pieces of each and has taken himself back to his room to lie down and rest it off). No plans for today, no spending, just chillin' , Have made a very very rough food inventory, and I think I can easily feed us under budget this week with minimal spends, just milk and cereal and salad bits. I love it when you get a cheap week. The ys bargains and survey vouchers have paid off this week.

Sorry to hear about your uncle in Canada, toni'sfriend. And I hope you soon feel better.Today I'm grateful for getting out in the front garden in the morning, for chatting to a couple of local passers-by, for my sister arranging a craftersz00m this afternoon, for the first yummy strawberries (only 2 fully ripe, so I let dh have one too!), for finding a Nancy Drew film on tv to watch with dd.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!5

Spent most of the day cooking. Sat in the recliner chopping, peeling and slicing as many veg as I could carry. Then made a lamb, leek and broccoli curry (two portions), a cottage pie with sweet potato mash topping (courgettes, onion and diced carrot in the mince (4 portions plus the one I ate). Yummy cauli and broccoli with cheese sauce and pasta filled with cheese and spinach. Also have chopped veg for celery soup and leek and potato soup. When the shopping arrived, I had leeks, celery, carrot and new potatoes all ready to add to the brisket and have sliced it up whilst watching a film. Went out after tea and made a little progress with the mini bed behind the shed (side, weed suppressant lining, pieces of bathroom cladding in the bottom, then a layer of stones in the bottom and some soil).
Today I am grateful for using up lots of veg, for the delivery including some drinks for me (4 different types failed to arrive last week so it's been filtered tap water all week), a hot shower, for celery sticks and dip, bananas and grapes. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage7 -
Good morning!!!
Landed home yesterday after looking after parents overnight. I am definitely not deigned to co-habit - you're comment about living alone Calling made me smile. I miss my own space and the peace and quiet... but Mum and Dad appreciate it. Took them to see my brother and his wife - first time in 10 weeks, and sat out in the garden in the sunshine. Did them the world of good and was lovely to feel that family connection again.
Felt a little wiped out as always when I got home and did very little besides eat and watch tv and play a few games. I have a whole week off now with no plans for anything. Want to do a bit of study around my new job, and just recharge and try to start exercising. I have been really bad. I just can't find motivation to home exercise - it's not the same without being surrounded by buff men working out haha!!! Ahem...
Yesterday = NSD number 4
Today I am grateful for:
1) Being back at home in my own little apartment
2) My family
3) Hot coffee and early mornings to gather myself for the day
Chores all done, so just a lazy day here. Have a good one folks x⭐ DEBT FREE : 18/02/2025 ⭐

Abundant, if my dh can go cycling around Richmond USA from the comfort of the back room, I am sure you can find a 'buff men training ' motivational screen foreground /background thing. Do some research!

June Challenge Day 14 Inspiration
Clutter Clearing
I want to walk into my home and not feel stress and tension. I want to walk in and feel glad to be home. Instead of minding the clutter and junk, I want to simplify and mind the things that matter.
Your home is your haven. You should feel RELAXED the minute you walk through your door. If you aren't feeling that, you need to make changes. How much time are you worrying about your clutter instead of LIVING? Free yourself ...and get on with your life
When you are overwhelmed, tired or stressed, the solution is almost always...less. Get rid of something. Lots of somethings.
We don't buy things with money, we buy them with hours of our lives
Where should I start organising?
1) Near enough is good enough (unless you repeatedly miss the wastebin)
2) 10 minutes a day is all you need
3) Do the bin bag tango. Set a timer for 10 minutes. Fill one bag with rubbish. Fill another with anything you no longer need, use or want
4) Additional thoughts. Shut up about where to start. Get going! Quit bi*#ching and moaning. Stop saying you can't do it. And STOP buying stuff (Peter Walsh on Clutter Interrupted Radio)
Reasons to love lockdown
The best way to declutter your home is not to buy so much stuff in the first place. (lockdown helps not buying )
Hyggebukser (hoo-gah-bucksr)
That one pair of pants you would never wear in public but are so comfortable that they are secretly your favourites.

Hi this morning I am grateful that I flet more like a mermaid and less like Fleur being attacked by the grindylows in the underwater scene in a Potter movie. Literally water weeds are just plants! Anyhow thankful for a lovely swim and for an afternoon in the house by myself! Time to relax - and focus on something. And to get my hyggebukser on :-)
And adding - I just had a moment of re-purposing. I can now fit a pair of nice(slightly tailored, but still relaxed) high waist wide legged trousers from back in the day, last time wide legs were around, and as I can now fit them again, I bought some antique blue dye, and I think they will the talk of the town, once they come out of the washer all lovely and blue and not one useless bit white any longer. ... Still have a lovely day.Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%
