I am always a bit jealous of people with 'homemade nicknacks' trees, I think they look fab, and definitely in keeping with the spirit of Xmas. I did ask Ryan if he wanted to make any Xmas decorations with me, and he embarked on a lengthy plan to use daleks as baubles and put a cyberman on the top of the tree. (I personally quite like this idea :))

    Actually so do I ! :D
No worries Mooloo I answer to most things ;) I'd talk to social services about THEM talking to housing-as you say it's an unusual situation and I'm sure special rules apply.

Mooloo, I am visiting Oxford after Christmas and would love to meet up if you fancy a cuppa with another DFW. I'm a mother of twins myself, mine are 13 now and I am quite nostalgic about the baby days so would love to give a hand with the babies if that would be useful. Send me a PM if you fancy meeting up - no offence if not!

Sorry for the thread hijack hypno - sweet dreams

Snaggles - Daleks sound lovely for a Christmas tree! Make sure to post a picture if he makes them.
Thanks Seaxwyn, not sure how to pm. but would love to meet up if time and kids allow.
Probably too late to say night to hypno, be morning when she next reads this.
    Council war seems likely.
Getting Social to talk to them at the moment, but they werent getting anywhere.
I did just tidy the front room, then twin 2 just came out with all baby changing stuff and started to do the nappies etc on my bed. Why cant she use hers?
    I digress.
night all, I am off to walk the dog, then kick them all out of my room now!!

Daleks! I have two daleks on my mantelpiece on normal days! I could do that!!!! But my tree is still outside.... heaven only knows what this frost will do to it.... My tree is sort of fairy tinkly, being a bare tree painted gold and covered in decorations.... not your conventional tree, tho at least the theme is red and gold.

Mooloo, sorry to hear of your situation. About the overcrowding, when I was little we lived in a council house with 3 bedrooms and a storage room, with 3 adults and 3 children, and we were reported for overcrowding then. I'm appalled to hear that 6 individuals in a 2 bed flat isn't considered overcrowding, I hope you can appeal.

Hypno, about the tipsiness.... I have red wine, not Baileys, its pretty yummy. Have a good sleep.

Mooloo, to send a PM, click on the person's name and you get a list of options, one of which is to send a private message.

I'll send you one once I've firmed up plans for my visit to Oxford (prob 29-30 Dec at least) and hope it works out. Meanwhile best of luck with the twins and offspring, hope you all have a merry christmas if I don't see you on here before.

Karmacat - the tree sounds lovely

Morning all. Work at the uni today. Normally I grab lunch from one of the many student canteens, but as part of the "give up xyz" challenge I need to take my lunch and a flask of coffee.

I hope everyone has a good day today x

The Nativity is about half way through - not as good as the Manchester Passion they did last Easter. That was fantastic! This one is still good, and it is really nice just to be sitting with the kids watching it, Christmas tree twinkling in the background.

I agree - The Manchester Passion was much better - although The Nativity is good as well. :T

    Hi KC - happy birthday!

I expect the students have gone home, mostly, but I am working on a research project so the academics are still there. (not that I am an academic, I am just helping them out.......)
