Mooloo, you must be shattered having to deal with all that - makes my life look pretty simple in comparison! At least I am doing the skiing thing through choice! My hat goes off to you, and I hope that things can get sorted very soon so that everyone gets some space - goodness how will things be when they start crawling/walking etc

Spud, if we make it to Chill Factore, I will be round for coffee - far more DFW as coffee in these places costs a fortune :rotfl:

And about 40 minutes from me! :T

    I feel a DFW meet coming on....:rotfl:

Mooloo, sorry about the problems you and your kids have had, but you sound like a fantastic Mum with all that you are doing for them.

Oh blimey Mooloo-what a situation. Think I'd be getting onto my local councilor or MP about the council refusing you rehousing tho. Over=crowding doesn't even start to describe your situation !

Hi Duchy - I thought DS had bundled you in a black bin bag as a sign of protest over tidying!! Glad you have re-surfaced!!

The chill factor is about 30 mins from me - i'm South Manchester.

Spud....the conservatory was won about 8 years ago. Until this morning you couldn't even see the floor so i'm quite impressed that there's a tree in there at all. I've also got three bags for the charity shop...why did I keep all that stuff!

    Lovely tree Hypno
Mine gets delivered on Tuesday-assuming DS bothers to answer the door. Is not taking his medication properly and it is showing so I'm back to making sure he takes it again <sigh>>
And I just noticed I've aquired another star-Woo-Hoo :) I'm now a serious money saver (as apposed to a silly one I suppose ;) )

Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches

Thanks everyone for the collective thoughts. I think that you might be right duhy, I will find out who my local councillor is and chase it up in the new year.
Didnt mean to nab your thread hypno.:o
Not sure I am a brilliant Mum or the girls would not have had to leave home and live in hostels in the first place!
The thought of the babies crawling was what I said to the Social at the meeting, before baby 2 was born. Mind you it is nice to have babies about, but not so good for my own life. Because of the boyfriends history, I am not allowed to go anywhere unless I was to take baby with me? As mum is breast feeding, not a possibility really. Also, at my age, I dont really want to be going everywhere with a tiny baby.
6 of us in a 2 bed flat is classed as over crowding. (by 1!!), but the council only said they would rehouse girls away from me. As the problem is they are over 18, council dont rehouse with family after that age. But with their learning difficulties they need to be with me. Catch 22 I suppose. Doubt the council have had many situations like mine.
Perhaps I should start a thread of my own with all this, or a novel?
