Your tree looks lovely Hyp - very classy. Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches :think:Loves being a Wonderbra friend :kisses3:

Thank you guys, I wish you could all see it for real, because it looks much nicer!!! You could come round for mulled wine and mince pies :xmassmile
I am very particular about my tree - when the children were younger, I had a tree for them, where they could put their hand made "things" and garish tinsel, disney store decorations etc, and My Tree for ME. Mine was in the lounge for all to see - theirs was.........on the landing
Yes, I am a snob. I admit it. Thankfully the Children are coming round to my way of thinking!!! Years of saying "yes, darling, that looks lovely - why don't you put it on YOUR tree?" have done the trick!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. I always let our kids decorate the tree, mainly because I dont like doing it
They have improved over the years. For the first few years, all the deccys were on the bottom 2 feet of the tree. It didnt really matter so much then, because we had kittens and a puppy, and the tree had to be tied to the wall for it's own safety :rotfl:
They do really well now, but we do look a bit like Santa's grottoIs it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches :think:Loves being a Wonderbra friend :kisses3:

Don't get me wrong, I do love the home made bits the kids made, and I still have them.........nice and safe........and nowhere near my tree!!!
If only I was that particular about the state of the rest of my house :rolleyes:Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Hi, the tree looks great to me. as we are in such a confined space my tree is only a plastic 24" tree, on the set of draws by the bed, in the front room, between the TV and the sittingroom side of the room. Complecated. Unfortunately I dont have a camera so cant post picture.
I think that I will have to start some of your challenges to get through the day, I seem to have lost the plot since the babies both moved in! (oh and their mums).
Spending hours reading your threads, probably why I dont get much work done.
Thought I had ?done well today, I have put on 5 wash loads, (mostly baby clothes) and attacked the kitchen, but christmas, bar a rough menu plan until the 1st of Jan, I have little else done. Still have no idea how I am going to get the rest of my presents if I have to go everywhere that Twin 2 goes, with her baby, especially as one i need to get is hers:oWhen I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Wow, I think it's lovely - very simple and classy. Mine looks like a tinsel factory exploded... :rotfl:
Although in my own way, I am a bit obsessive too, and I move baubles around incessantly until it looks 'right'. Even then, I spend half of Xmas looking at it and thinking 'that one should be slightly to the left', and mountaineering over furniture to try and put it right!"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
Hi Mooloo! Blimey, things sound chaotic at your house - little wonder that you feel as though you have lost the plot!
Is this arrangement likely to be a long term one, or will one or other move out soon?Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0
