Wow, hypno, £4k.... for a family, I'd think thats really difficult. As a single person, I won't be doing that - my weekly money, supermarket bills and Christmas/birthday money already adds up to less than that. Activities..... hmmmm..... possibly they come from my weekly money..... may look at doing my own version of that, actually.

I have made my own adjusted ground rules because obviously what is right and achieveable for a single person just ain't going to be the same for a family of 4 or 5! So, given that I have got to stick to a tight budget anyway, just to get through the year without getting further into debt, and being able to maintain my debt repayments etc, I think that I have worked (in my head anyway) the basis of a doable challenge, but hopefully having to post on the challenge thread will keep me on the straight and narrow!

It will be tough, of course, but my budget for 2008 is going to be tough anyway, especially as I won't get my first lot of real pay until end of January at the very earliest, and more likely to be the end of February:eek: !!

Hi P!! Def on for coffee today - come and see my tree!!!

Let me know when you are ready, and whether you would prefer me to come to yours (although if I can get away with not driving while the car has bloomin lights on the dashboard, then that would be great!)........

Duchy - if you are having a "lucky" day, best you get playing free bingo or something!!

My car has lights on the dashboard to!!! is called the petrol light!!!

however due to the exploits of he that shall remain nameless ( ) I have £5 left that i can use as fuel money so that will give me a good excuse to pop into tesco and grab some fuel. then off to site for the remainder of the day. shall we make it an early one, say tennish?

off to update my diary, not done in since sunday, very lax of me (is that the term) :o

Would love to see your tree, i promise not to move a bauble when your not looking to. :D :rotfl:
