Hi Mooloo, I hope the promised money comes through on Friday.

I have nipped out to Waitrose, using a piggy voucher, and managed to get a lovely box of chocs, already wrapped, for lodger's present, plus bread, crisps for a holiday treat for the kids, squash and dinner for tonight and came away with 39p change! So, once again no money spent! Woo hoo - I am liking this game at the mo!!

It's still cold here.....or perhaps it is just me

If the money does come through it will be a relief. Cant go overdrawn in the bank, just got it, after being bankrupt. No credit to fall back on.:o

hi, just to say i have become addicted to DFW and enjoyed your posts.
i am not in debt, thankfully, but have been challenged by this forum...joined the savings one and am trying to make as much saving as possible next year but will keep reading all the great posts on here, keep up the good work

Hello Savingmore! Always nice to see a new face! The good thing is that all the efforts we are taking on this board to become debt free are just as rewarding for those wanting to build up their savings. So welcome aboard

I have been doing the ironing this afternoon while DD starts wrapping pressies (although she has now run out of sticky tape) while we watch "Love Actually". The pile of ironing is shrinking, and the pile of presents under the tree is getting bigger, so we must be achieving something!

Ooh, can I come round and watch Love Actually? I'll help wrap your presents! It's one of my fave Christmas films but when I looked it up it's on after Christmas, i think. What good is that?

Evening Hypno, hope that you are now ready for the invasion of the camera. Thank God they are not coming here, they would have a pink fit.
I havent managed to achieve anything much today. Except that the Social Services have been on the phone, I have had a visit from the babies other Grandparents(gulp), and a promise of help to get the Father to have contact in a family centre instead of here!! Phew I think it means I will be getting a few hours freedom a week after all. !!:j I will be able to join you all in the housework challenges, the money saving challenges and all the other day to day activities that you manage to do.!!
Feel tired and ready for Bed, got to wait for the babies (well one of thems) father to leave, he was late in visiting today, then I am off to bed. What a day.
Wish you could have done some of my ironing, its sort of about to fall over the pile is that high!!!
